I got stung by these cowboys but if it is of any help to anybody else I have found a claims company in Milton Keynes who have solicitors who will pursue these guys on a no win no fee arrangement and don't want any money upfront .

Appears the credit card company who I paid a deposit on is jointly and severally liable not just for the deposit but for the whole amount !

Will keep you all informed of the progress . Must be confident of winning if they don't want any money upfront .

Please could you let us have the details of these solicitors - it seems we all have similar issues with the same company so it would be worthwhile for the Solicitor to put in a group claim if they are willing.
  • I would be very willing to join forces with anyone to chase these people. We were put on to AFS concierge in Tenerife by Club Class and had a gut feeling we'd been done but were reassured by Andy Dixon a number of times that it was all perfectly legit. Needless to say nothing has lived up to expectations. Our cash back certificate came yesterday and it seems proof of purchase is required to register, anyone know what qualifies as proof? We paid £3750 on our credit card as a deposit.
  • Believe me, these people appear very genuine.
  •:mad:My soon to be mother and father in law who are both elderly, recently got duped in a manchester hotel at the airport to join Club Class with the promise of getting money back through ITRA. I really hate that they prey on old people.

Done some digging and found all this bad information. Done some more digging and found it to be a big con. MAYBE WE SHOULD ALL GET TOGETHER AND HAVE OUR OWN CLASS ACTION AGAINST THEM.

Incidently one of the guys who duped them was called 'john' and there was another tall skinny guy, very tanned with grey hair. Does anyone recognise the descriptions.
  • Count me in. Maybe the courts would take more notice if they realised how many people are involved.
  • Does anyone know a solicitor who would be willing to take this on? - We're in! I've just had an e-mail back from the Eurpoean Consumer Centre (after 6 months of waiting) and they say that the have been trying to contact Club Class re: our complaint, but since they repeatedly get no response, there is nothing more they can do (as they have no legal powers). They have given me a link on how to take legal action through the European Small Claims Procedure. I'll have a look into it and see if we can all put in together!
  • We too were taken in by CCC in May 2010,We were offered a very cheap holiday in Tenerife 5* Hotel which we took advantage off ,the offer was made because we were lapsed trial members of CCC . I thought it might help recoup our earlier outlay for a trial membership a few years ago!
Incidentally we used CCC for a holiday & Cruise but our outlay was still more for the membership than the value of the holiday at the time.
We were met In tenerefe by one of there reps taken to a very good hotel & then the following day taken to the ccc offices for the sell ,I carnt believe it now but were taken in again & signed up to membership & paid £7500 via a Tesco Loan that they set up via the internet. We were assured told that they were out of timeshare & were a great new travel agent with great discounts on holidays etc & we would recoup our outlay with savings on holidays & a cashback in three years.subject to very specific terms & conditions which I found diffficulty meeting.
Since out return last year I have been plagued with ill health ,Bladder Cancer etc& unable to travel so recently requested a cancelation of the membership & refund. Both CCC refused & Tesco Refused so I continue to pay my monthly payments to Tesco .

I would dearly like to get my money back ,to reduce the monthly outlay I am considering clearing the outstanding balance to Tesco but not sure this is right thing to do as I do feel Tesco loans have some responsiblity in this respect

I should also add that due to my ill health I have had chance to research holiday prices & CCC does not offer the best rates on holidays Its A Con

Would be interested to here others views?

    Dear Paddington,
In my opinion, they shouldn't be paid another penny.
  • Has anyone had any success getting a refund from the credit card company?
We feel we were mis sold the membership and thought of approaching the card company.
