  • Thanks for your response. It is as I expected!
  • To all Club Class/Etoo sufferers,
My husband and i were suitable duped by this lot but have taken them to court and won. Unfortunately we have yet to get our money back. First off we went through the UK system and won through the small claims action. Once judgement was received we wrote to CLub Class asking for payment and were ignored and so we contacted the Gibralter Supreme Court who have upheld our judgement and are helping enforce it as they follow the UK legal system too.
We are now waiting to summon them to court to answer questions on their finances to make them pay up.....we shall see!
    Fingers crossed
  • We are yet another couple who have paid a deposit for the membership, and should be paying the remainder in full within the next few days.
    Could someone please advise:
    1) Has anyone out there actually refused to pay the balance because of what they have read on this site?
    2) If we refuse to pay will CCC actually try to take court action as they intimated this when we actually tried not to pay the balance when we got home 3 wks ago from Tenerife, as we thought that perhaps we had been too hasty while we were away.
    3) Has anyone any information on solicitors ie name telephone numer etc.
    4) How did people find out that it is or could be a scam.

We have heard of Pro-call the re-claim company, we were going to meet with them during our stay in Tenerife but CCC told us they were scammers and that CCC had threatened to take them to court for trying to con their members.
We had gone over because of a reclaim from the original membership of CCC but found out that the reclaim company had not paid the money in on our behalf so we would never gat the money back. CCC asked us to change to the Prestiege side of the business and pay that membership fee we would then get the monies back at the end of the 3 yr period.

Desperate for advice as we really do not want to pay this balance but we are afraid of being taken to court.

This can only be my personal opinion but I would not give them another penny. I am certain they will threaten you, almost certainly have a nice firm of solicitors primed to send letters to you but do you really think they would like to appear in court? I very much doubt it. You must realise that these reclaim stories are just that, stories, and simply another way to get more money out of you. Stop now and then ignore any further correspondence.

    Hello,

Firstly we have been a member of Club Class with CDS Concierge for 5 years now. We initially paid out £5000 on the pretext that we would get it back in 5 years time with a company called Cashback Europe. The date is approaching soon and whilst we have the Reclaim certificate we do not have the proof of purchase. This became apparent when we investigated recently. This will be more understable in the following paragraph. So under these conditions we will not be eligible for our money back.
Secondly while on a holiday recently with club class ( with small children we have always gone at quiet times in the year so have always got some deal) we were sold an upgrade to Club Class Platinum. At this point we had never had an issue with the company. We were sold it on the basis of 7 free holiday weeks over a 5 year period. We took this up and the documentation arrived after the cooling off period. Again on receipt of the vouchers they are nothing like what we were promised. A recent holiday was quoted at about £1000. Far more than we paid before. We contacted the Head office and spoke to a customer services girl in Malaga and she said she would sort this issue as that was her job role. Now we can not get even get a reply from her. We have sent 5 e mails and they are no longer replied to. It is also worth pointing out that we are paying the loan through Tesco.com which they set up. The initial deposit was paid upfront in Spain by credit card. We also have not received the prrof of purchase for the second loan even though promised to us by the customer services girl.

I know many will say we are foolish and yes we were but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Please we need some advice and guidance on our best course of action.

    Thanks.......
    Hi

I'm in the process of arbitration with Cashback Euro. I noticed you had a problem with proof of purchase. Did you manage to resolve and receive your cashback?

approx 3years ago paid £2000 deposit, anyway after getting home realised it was a scam and refused to pay the rest i think about £6000 after a few letters and phonecalls the upshot was they offered a gold membership with no more to pay this i accepted, they are always ringing up offering the welcome week etc and try to get me to book with them , but i dont trust them. i have used their website on enquries only to find i can get accomodation direct cheaper elsewhere. tried to get a refund from ccard co but did not manage it i think that i was not clued up enough at the time and just accepted the gold membership just to stop all the hastle and worry of being taken to court. all the court threats really are also a scam its just a way to make you pay more just ignore them all, or contact citizens advice, or oft i am sure they can help you as club class is a blacklisted company now and according to some websites the spanish authorities have wound up the campany
  • We are yet another pair of trusting souls duped by tfs concierge in Tenerife. As members of Club Class we were offered a half price holiday in Tenerife provided we met with a rep to give our feedback on the club. Having already been disappointed with the membership we vowed not to be sucked in a second time, how stupid we were!

We were assured that the club were making amends for previous bad publicity and we were given a most convincing sales pitch. We parted with £3500 deposit then started having doubts. The following day Andy Dixon visited us and reassured us that the cash back offer and discounts were genuine and the seven weeks FREE 'dreamstay' accommodation could be taken anywhere in the world and included free flights to Europe (including all taxes and baggage).

On our return I made a call for advice about cancelling but was told
there was no cooling off period with holiday clubs. I spoke to Andy Dixon who yet again said all the right things and I started to feel I was being paranoid! Today we got the holiday vouchers from 'freestay' which offers limited low class accommodation and charges an admin fee and additional supplements. It also transpires the flights cover the first £50 and there are taxes to pay too.

The club class website doesn't offer as good a deal as I can get elsewhere.

I have emailed a complaint but having read this forum, I won't hold my
breath. I'm also concerned for the cash back offer now too.

I can't believe people can lie so convincingly and come across so genuine. This con is organised and very clever and I don't doubt they
manage to work just within the letter of law with very little in writing. They take advantage of honest people and probably rely on it being too much effort to take them to court.

I remain baffled as to how they continue to operate. If you've had a similar experience or if anyone can suggest some way to stop them - I'd love to hear from you.

They have been at it for years, regretably those who got suckered the first time are deemed more likley to pay again and they get away with it because we the public fall for it. People like this could sell snow to eskimos and they know with a registered office in Gibralter, the chances of being caught are close to zero. Someone posted in November last year that they were attempting to enforce a judgement against them in Gib. but they haven't been back with any good news, so I fear there isn't any. The fact is that when we are relaxed on holiday we switch off our brains and it is all too easy to make believe that black is white and a scam is genuine. I very sorry for your losses, all we can do through websites such as this is issue the warnings, but hell will freeze over before every scammer in the travel business is run out of town. Just follow the golden rules

    1. No one gives away free holidays in the street
    2. Never buy something costing more than £100 on holiday
    3. If it sounds too good to be true, it is
    4. You wouldn't spend £3500 in the UK without thinking about it, don't change a habit of a lifetime

hi, not yet - it is due next month - I have a copy of my bank statements showing the payments, so we will see if they honor that - though in all honesty I am sure they will use this as the loophole not to pay out! - I'll let you know!

This makes me feel a little better. Please could you give some more information on how you went about this and how long it all took! I am sure many people would be grateful for some advice!
