We got back from 2 weeks in Benidorm yesterday and after reading this thread we had a very lucky escape.
We've been to Benidorm the previous 2 years aswell and never been approached by one of these people until last week. She gave the 4 of us, myself, hubby and 2 children a scratch card and miraculously mine had 3 stars on it. The woman got very excited and told us we had won 1000 Euros and all we had to do to get it was go back to the office with her for a presentation which would take approx 1 1/2 hours. We asked her a few times what she was actually selling and we were told nothing. All they wanted to do was to show us a cheaper way of getting holidays.
We eventually agreed to go to the office for the presentation. She took us there in her car and then told us that she would be back after the 1.5 hours to take us back to our apartment as she didnt want us walking back with the 1000 Euros on us. She also said she would need to have a photo taken with us for their brochure.
We were then led through to the presentation area after being asked to show we had a credit card and being asked about our household income etc...
3 hours later after listening to their banter we were shown out the door as we had refused to sign anything there and then. They tried all ways to get us to hand over a £1200 deposit and then pay the remaining £3700 to them later on. They couldnt believe we were going to miss out on such an amazing opportunity although they werent impressed when i told them that I had already found accommodation for next years holiday in Turkey for the outstanding sum of £14.76p for 11 nights self catering for the 4 of us.
Whilst we were there another older couple sat at another table opposite us. They looked like they were in their late 60's or early 70's. They were there when we got there and were still there when we left. They did get round of applause and a bottle of champagne though so Im presuming they were duped into handing over cash and were filling out the finace forms as we left.
We were given out scratch card back as we left and surprise, surprise we had won the holiday !!! Needless to say it was just a voucher which went straight in the bin on our way back to our appartment which we had to walk back to as the original rep was nowhere to be seen.
We more or less knew straight away that this was a con and wish now we had just got up and left or not gone there in the first place as we wasted 3 hours of our holiday listening to their garbage.
Makes me wonder how many other older holiday makers actually fall for this rubbish.0 -
Me and my hubby got conned in2 this timeshare 3 years ago, it does seem silly that we even fell for it but hey, thats what happens sometimes, we did get 1 free holiday. woo-hoo. anyway now they want money 2 upkeep my product and i have refused, i told them we have gave you £5000 and had nothing in return.
I have now had a company called solymarsales.com... telephone me and said they are going to give me £6000 back, but i have to give them £1200 and they will secure this until they have a buyer. can anyone tell me if they have heard of this company??? please contact me if you have or even have any kind of information. would be much obliged. thankyou mandy0 -

This is the latest type of scam connected to Timeshare. There are quiet a few so called firms doing this.
The thing to remember is anyone Cold Calling you and asking for money upfront ( for some reason its always 1200 pounds/ Euros ) it will be a scam and if you are tempted that will be the last you will see of your money.
Also if you get asked to go to a meeting to dispose of your Timeshare ,this to will be a scam.
They will want you to buy into another scheme etc.
Remember Cold Call = Scam
Cash up front = Scam
Asked to attend a meeting = Scam
If you require more info go to the TCA (Timeshare Consumer Association ) site. All the latest scams can be found on there.
As for trying to sell a Timeshare nowadays that is one BIG problem.
Good Luck.0 -
Have just looked at their cheapo website and surprise, surprise no address or names given only a contact telephone number.
Keep well away from this lot.0 -
When you get on the TCA site go to compensation groups ' Club Class Concierge ' are listed there.0

Hello,
Firstly we have been a member of Club Class with CDS Concierge for 5 years now. We initially paid out £5000 on the pretext that we would get it back in 5 years time with a company called Cashback Europe. The date is approaching soon and whilst we have the Reclaim certificate we do not have the proof of purchase. This became apparent when we investigated recently. This will be more understable in the following paragraph. So under these conditions we will not be eligible for our money back.
Secondly while on a holiday recently with club class ( with small children we have always gone at quiet times in the year so have always got some deal) we were sold an upgrade to Club Class Platinum. At this point we had never had an issue with the company. We were sold it on the basis of 7 free holiday weeks over a 5 year period. We took this up and the documentation arrived after the cooling off period. Again on receipt of the vouchers they are nothing like what we were promised. A recent holiday was quoted at about £1000. Far more than we paid before. We contacted the Head office and spoke to a customer services girl in Malaga and she said she would sort this issue as that was her job role. Now we can not get even get a reply from her. We have sent 5 e mails and they are no longer replied to. It is also worth pointing out that we are paying the loan through Tesco.com which they set up. The initial deposit was paid upfront in Spain by credit card. We also have not received the prrof of purchase for the second loan even though promised to us by the customer services girl.
I know many will say we are foolish and yes we were but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Please we need some advice and guidance on our best course of action.
Thanks.......0 -

Your easiest course of action may be to go after tesco.com as they financed your membership and are jointly responsible for ensuring you get what you paid for.
But it could be a long battle, and I don't know enough to help with the details.0 -
Thanks Dzug,
We have contacted Tesco and they say because the contract was set up on the internet (by them) and that we then signed there is nothing they can do?? Not sure where to turn??0 -

Hi - we have, as many other folk been hoaxed by ETOO, Club CC - we think we have lost around £11,500 - been down the road as many others. The only difference is that we went to CC and "made them" pay our 2009 maintenance fees plus the £200 transfer fee - They had not registered it to themselves saying that we should just ignore fee requests - just send them to them. In other words don't pay them - they won't come after you. Anyway after completing such an enormous feat and sure in the knowledge that we would at the very least be maintenance free, hay ho, the owners of the timeshare apartments (we have deeds for floating time) refused to transfer to CCC. It then meant that we had to "pay back" the 2009 fees paid on our behalf by CCC and also the 2010 fees. There was some suggestion of other holiday clubs being investigated!! You will not be able to give your timeshare back until either you pop your clogs, have something terminal or bankrupt - you can in some cases transfer to relatives. We did get our deeds back as we had received them back from CCC when trying to do the transfer and they were returned to us. So we now have to get our £15000 plus back from Cashback next year) Some hope I hear you say!!0
