Read my post of 29.5.2011. I too had the email telling me I had been successful and that cheques would be written in may. True to their word, I recieved a lovely cheque. Lower than expected but very nice all the same!
  • You say you had some great holidays with Club Class. Were these limited to Europe (especially the Canaries) or did you go worldwide?
  • We have chosen European holidays but you can go absolutley anywhere. [Or use your privileges on discounts for all sorts of things. ie interflora, west end tickets etc] The whole timeshare system I've worked out, takes time to understand but I dont think they're out to get you! Perhaps there are more holiday clubs trading under the same name, as I dont have a problem with them
  • Hi
3 years ago my boyfriend and I bought a timeshare in Florida. We had felt pressured and bullied into it but believed at the time that if we changed our mind later we would be able to sell it back to the company. Once back in England other things happened and we forgot about it until recently when they have rang demanding their annual fees which we had no idea about. We currently pay by credit card and my credit card company says I cannot stop the direct debit. We have emailed the company and they say we have to re sale which will be almost impossible. Is there anything we can do?
    Thanks

''MAKE SURE YOU CANCEL YOUR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION BEFORE THE FIRST ONE IS DUE - IN WRITING TO CLUB CLASS IN GIBRALTAR! IF NOT THEY HOUND YOU THREATENING ALL SORTS OF FEES AND LEGAL ACTION FOR NON-PAYMENT!''
Allan1859 can you or anyone else advise us please. We now know Club Class is a scam but we keep getting emails & phone calls about our 'compulsory annual membership fee of £95' or they will hand the debt over to a debt collection agency. Should we pay the £95 he said it would cost to cancel our membership as annual membership is overdue or just totally ignore them?? Wife is unwell and stress is not helping her as we're worried about bailiffs at the door.
    Any help greatly appreciated
  • hi there happycaz
I have also been contacted for payment of the membership fee, or a cancellation fee of £95, I requested a copy of the contract that he was referring to, justifying such a claim. I read it but saw nothing to say there was a cancellation fee, nothing in my original paperwork either, I was conned a few years ago but only stopped paying the fee last year, I wrote it all off as a waist of time and effort, but it seems they think its worth chasing people regardless of whether they provide anything or not. I will also welcome any confirmation clubclass should be ignored.

I am completely ignoring them chasing the annual fee. I don't want to advise you to do this in case it gets us all into trouble. However, I am hoping to be able to argue my case in that I have claimed against Club Class through the Ombudsman and proved them disreputable.
I don't know if they actually have any jurisdiction in the UK anyway as they are based in Spain.
Sorry I can't be more help - but I certainly have no intention of giving them any more money!
  • Hi there, I have been approached by Mediation Solutions who claim to be able to secure all refunds of any monies paid to Club Class plus compensation. Anyone else heard of them? Offices in chelmsford. Company was formed June 15th 2011 so very new. They want me to sign a simple Agreement and send them £320.

A business that is less than 2 months old, no track record and a demand for money, do you really have to ask the question? Tell them you will pay on results, you will never hear of them again. It is likely to be the same people about to scam you again, think how did they know of you if they didn't have the mailing list in the first place? Don't waste your money and remember, the real meaning of mediation is bringing two willing parties together to try and find a solution, how willing has the other side been so far.....????? The offices are above a hairdressers..
