Oasis airline in liquidation- what to do?

Posted my claim to Morgan Stanley/Goldfish 26th April requesting refund of oasis fllights plus additional cost of replacement flights.
.
I too asked the woman on the phone to put down in writing what she said and she refused, I have written to complain quoting the date & time & her name & employee id to Goldfish, and demanded they admit their equal liabilities in writing, would be interested to hear your result. I am waiting for my reply. Going to the Obudsman is a good idea, but even that depends whom you get connected to, some of the workers are I didn't find particular good !!0 -

Group support required! Let's get everyone paid out and put a swift finish to this absolute rubbish they are feeding us.
I quite agreed, I am thinking of contacting BBC Working-Lunch to see if they are interested !!!0 -

"Very surprise to hear that the liquidators would tell hsbc that oasis customers will get their money back before an official announcement.
i wont trust them. it is just another fobbing tactics which we are all acustomed to. kpmg wouldnt be so unprofessional to behave like that."
interesting you say that because i thought too why they would just tell hsbc and not notify the other banks..but of course hsbc originated from hong kong so maybe the two have close relations?0 -
Got a letter from HSBC asking for original documents, again!!!!! i have already sent them, bank statement, confirmation email tickets from Oasis, as well as the email stating that Oasis have stopped flying
I have no idea what more they want???? Getting fed up of them
They are also saying claim via OASIS and state what their reply is ...argh!!!!
SO what shall i do???
They keep fobbing people off!!!!0 -
Hi Amy,
Send It All Again And Emphasies That They Are Equally Liable And You're Claiming A Refund Under S.75. This Is More Powerful Than A Charge Back. Tell Them Your Claim On Oasis Does Not Hinder Your Hsbc Claim Under Joint And Several Liability.
Once They Write Back Insisting You Claim From Oasis, Call The Ombudsman And Make A Formal Complaint. Tell The Ombudsman That You Gave Them A Chance And You Got A Final Notice From Them Not Agreeing To Pay You.
Dont Waste Time Any More. Go Tothe Ombudsman.you Got The Law On Our Side. But Use It Efeectively!!
Once They Get Involved It Should Resolve Quickly.the Form Is Simple. They Will Then Ask Hsbc For Thier Side Of The Story. Once They See That They Have No Leg To Stand On, You Will Be Awarded Judgement. Ask For Compensation Too!!
That is dreadfully difficult to read with a capital letter at the start of each word.
Must be because you are expecting each capital to start a new sentence, then find it is only one word long !0 -

It was a useful reply thanks lucky88!!
I will be contacting HSBC once more
This whole letter writing , takes a week to send and hear from them....taking ages to get our money back!!!
I am hoping not to have to go to the financial ombudsman , but i will if they keep fobbing me off!!!
I spoke to a lady from consumer direct...she seems to think that you cannot claim additional costs, just the refund only
But to be honest i will be glad if i can get all my money back at this rate lol0 -
I think the main reason to why Oasis will take several months to refund the money to us is because they want to use our money to earn interest.... and banks like HSBC are letting them get away with it! :mad:0
