You would have thought that the website would not be talking about refunds if there was a possibility that they were going to be brought out.

as far as i am aware there is no mention of refunds on the website? is this what you were referring to?

It is with regret that Oasis Hong Kong Airlines announces that the airline has applied to the Hong Kong Court to appoint a provisional liquidator on 9 April 2008. The Court has appointed Edward Middleton and Patrick Cowley of KPMG as the provisional liquidators, and they have assumed control of the airline with effect from 1400h the same day Hong Kong time.
Our flight operations have been cancelled until further notice. The Provisional Liquidators are liaising with other airlines in order to help customers make alternate travel arrangements as quickly as possible.

I just contact HSBC, they said they cannot refund the full amount to me, because from my bank statement it is not debit from Oasis Hong Kong Airline instant it was debit from a travel agent.

Now i am completely lost

Hmm...yeah i see what they are saying. I presume you have been in touch with the travel agent? Surely they should sort you out?

I might be wrong but i read the following as refund details:

"For the unused portion of confirmed bookings with Oasis, passengers may register their claims by submitting the "Registration of Claims" Form and send to KPMG on fax number (+852) 3628 9170."

    mattj1983 that's not a refund. that's making a claim as a creditor.

but there's still the chance they could be bought out and the flight run by another company - which is why mbna won't cough up - yet

I also had a look at the form, the top it said Passenger Registration of Claim form,so i assume it is also for customers, but at the bottom it also mention Form is not a quarantee of a refund:o

yeah - the card company will be covering themselves first i would have thought. As long as theres a slim chance that they may be brought out they won't do anything.
However, that would screw me up royally as i have just booked a new flight. If it all goes wrong and they get brought out, i might just cry. Althought surely I could claim that i was left in the dark and didn't want to risk anything?

Finally I managed to called my travel agent they said at the moment they dont know what to do yet, but can I claim it through HSBC by saying they did not provide a service i requested for from the travel agent? ?
