I want to try doing what Moonrakerz did - claim the difference back from the CC company so I'm going to buy tickets from BA and then post the docs with the Oasis docs to Natwest.
BUT I want to know, do I have to pay these BA flights using the same Natwest Mastercard I used to pay for my Oasis flights because my Mastercard is a student one so I only have a limit of up to £500 and the BA flights are way over that![Member #28 in Free Film Previews Club - 7 Films seen in 2008 ] [ 1 Films seen in 2009] :cool:0 -

The Law is quite clear about what you are entitled to. I would not be messed about by these people. Write to them and give them 21 days to pay up or you will issue a summons in the County Court.
Thanks again for your advise moonrakerz. At the moment, I'm waiting for the claim form from Natwest. They said that I should get it within 5 working days. I will write a covering letter and include all the points that you mentioned previously. And I will put all the relevant documents that related to my claim.
If can, I want to write the letter now as I'm so eager to get my money back. But I don't know to whom should I write to. Does anyone ever write a letter regarding the refund problem (perhaps for MaxJET customer) to Natwest Mastercard?0 -
Hi,
Have just been reading eveything, and was wondering what is the latest on being able to claim back the money for another person's flight?
And claiming the difference for a new flight?
As I have booked two flights to HK this june for me and a friend on my parents credit card, so should be able to claim money back hopefully.
And on finn air they seem to have cheapest flights, esp one ways to HK from about 375.00, but this is under a youth tickest which is ages 16-25 I think.0 -
I have been trying to fax my claim form to KPMG however I can't seem to get through on the fax numbers provided. What number has everyone else been using?
Thanks0 -
Also the address on the form is different from the one on the KPMG website. Am confused as to which is send the form too!!!0

Yeah - mines a student one to with the same limit so its been a case of a lot of putting money back into my credit card account from my current account.
I brought new flights today with the same credit card. Hopefully i'll be able to get the difference back alot easier. The woman i spoke to said it should be ok (as i was talking theoretically at the time). she did offer me the chance to put the limit up temporarily so you could phone up - tell them the situation and ask them.0 -

I just spoke to Natwest (again), they can't increase my limit because being a student sucks. But the lady said I should try ringing in the morning to ask the team who deals with increasing limits.
I will explain that I only need the temporary increased limit for me to purchase the tickets which is £300 more than my £500 limit and then pay the CC company straight after from moving my monies from the current account.
If Natwest won't increase my limit then I will call Financial Ombudsman for advice and hope that I can use other payment methods besides using the same credit card![Member #28 in Free Film Previews Club - 7 Films seen in 2008 ] [ 1 Films seen in 2009] :cool:0 -

Did your travel agent cover you for Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance (called SAFI for short) - they might well cover all customers, and certainly companies cover it for all bookings (i.e. Trailfinders).0
