Hi Elle
Your wine recommendations were good! Even managed to find the carton wine from Hiperdino at 77c!
Sorry to be a nuisance but it is hubby's birthday this week and we would like to find somewhere for a really good paella, we are 150yards from the Marina Rubicon so somewhere fairly close would be convenient, do you have any recommendations?
Have tried to obtain Lumpy Bumpy cake without success, is there a password you need at Le Moka in order to obtain it!!!
Seriously though thanks for your good advice.

Hiya!
It depends if you mind being a little out of the town or not. Have a look at:
Iberostar Papagayo
Papagayo Arena
Rubicon Palace
They're all a little way out of town but nice hotels.
Lanzarote Princess - not bad, a little tired... but still nice, and right in the town centre
Sun Park & Sun Royal - basic but clean. 10 mins walk from town centre
Princesa Yaiza - stunning... and pricey... but well worth every penny spent.
Or why not look at a villa instead? You can get some lovely villas for the same price or less than you'd pay for the 3 of you to have a hotel.
Good luck!

As this is new and only opened from 1 April, do you have any feedback or advice? The website looks impressive for this hotel!

I can't comment about the inside of the hotel... as you know as much as I do. But I know exactly where it is. It's been a long time coming, this refurb - so hopefully it will live up to expectation. I'd make double sure that they can indeed commit to your dates though - in case they are still finishing off. It's in a great location in the town centre, just a minute or two's walk from oodles of bars and restaurants. There are 2 beaches within a 5 minute walk.
One is out the main entrance and turn left when you hit the main road, then head diagonally left across the car park. The other one is out of the back entrance to the hotel (assuming they have one, but I'm pretty sure they do)... which brings you onto a promenade. Turn left at the waters edge, and keep going round to the larger beach. That one has sunbeds for hire. Sorry, I don't know the price... but I'd guess around €5 for the day.
Costa Teguise itself is very nice, albeit the quietest of the 3 main resorts on the island. It is also the breeziest, which is why windsurfing competitions are held there regularly. But the beaches are fab, and there are bargains to be had with food and drink. It's also not too far from the aiport, and has good bus links to Puerto del Carmen if you wanted a really lively night out.
Enjoy!

We are hoping to have a family holiday this year and your post sounds lovely. Myself, my wife and three kids though - its usually really expensive - are there any cheap villas going near you do you know?0

Hi there Monty Zoomer (great username by the way!)
I can't comment on individual villas... but it's worth having a look at such sites at https://www.ownersdirect.com and https://www.lanzarotelates.com to nab yourselves a bargain.
A good friend of ours got a wicked deal on a villa with the second of those two sites a couple of weeks ago. It was booked at the last possible moment though... so it was a late deal discount.
