OK lovely, lovely Elle.....so we now KNOW you're The Person In The Know if you know what I mean...! :D

Can you help me find a villa for 4 people, 2-3 bedrooms and preferably 2 bathrooms, central-ish to PB (but not too noisey!), late Feb 2011, private heated pool and within walking distance (for person with limited mobility but doesn't let it stop him!) to the gorgeous beaches for under £500? :o

And did I read somewhere something about electric bike hire? :T

    C'mon girl...you CAN do it!!!! ;)

If Elle can't I can - but its not central to town.

Hi again Nottslass. Easy peasy one for you. Go to the church in the centre of town... just by the kiddies playground. Look across the road and there's a side street. Just up here on the right is "Bookswap". They can print off your boarding passes for you.

Hello Ghostdog - shouldn't be a problem (although price may possibly be tight). Give Marie or Angela a shout at https://www.lanzarotelates.com and they'll sort you out. Electric bike hire is available at Punta Limones. Go and see Roy and Sam in there - friendly couple. Punta Limones is the commercial centre just by the ferry port. Here's their website: http://www.electrobike-lanzarote.com/

    Good luck!

Nottslass - thinking about it - what area are you staying in again? If you can't get to Bookswap... let me know via PM so I can give you my private contact info and will try to sort something out for you.

Thankyou for your very generous offer.

We've run out of baby milk so have got to nip into town tomorrow and will go into book swop.

BTW we are near the Hippodino los colorardos (sp)

    Many thanks again.

Ah yes - I know where you are. That Hiperdino is about a ten minute walk from my place! Just let me know if you get stuck... but Bookswap should be able to sort you out.

    Katie :)

Don't go packing your thermals yet - It was a bit cloudy this am but still warm enough for a bikini and the sun was bright by 12 :jGorgeous evening - not unbearably hot,but warm enough to eat "al fresco"

On Thursday it was "el scorcho " - I've been here 3 weeks and got a tan but still managed to burn on a ten minute walk.TBH it was way too hot and we kept the DC's out off it all day (reports of in the mid 40's)

Over the last 3 and a bit weeks we've had a couple of cooler evenings when it got quite windy and perhaps could have done with a cardie by 10pm.lol

Haven't missed a day in the pool,so I wouldn't start worrying about the weather too much.

Have a great time - we'll be so sad to leave on Thursday, but will have had a fabulous 4 weeks here :)

Yeah we have had a couple of days that were a little dodgy - but far from cold.

This link is pretty accurate for Playa Blanca, and is the one I use.

    http://www.aemet.es/en/eltiempo/prediccion/localidades/yaiza-35330

It does forecast 60% chance of storms for today... and it's looking grey out there - but the temps are still up in the low 30s.

We certainly haven't had "quite a lot" of rain recently. As Nottslass says... there were a few spots early the other morning... and I felt 1 or 2 late last night - but that's it. You'll find it pretty hot, and will definitely get a tan... so please do be careful and ensure you wear suncream.
