OS Tuesday

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Tuesday 8th April. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.. I can't find the intro for Tuesday. Please feel free to delete if this is wrong:o
Many many thanks Aussie have managed to do the right intro following your instructions. It's like all questions they are only easy if you know the answer.

I'll say.
Next to turning the computer on, cut and paste is the easiest thing....
To cut and paste. Hold the left button down on the mouse and move the bar thingy (cursor) on the screen over the words you want to cut or copy. They will change colour. When you have all the words you want to use let go of the left mouse button. Press the right mouse button and you will see some words. One will say copy or cut. Press one of them with the left mouse button.
Go to your new start thread page. In the area where you want to paste the words ,click the right mouse button and move the cursor to paste. Click left mouse and voila the words are pasted in place.
Off to work in a minute, Bit of an operation on today, I might be able to tell you about it tomorrow. Cold and frosty here.
I managed to get a fair bit of work done in the garden yesterday, so several aches and pains today.
Funny old weather. Snowing one minute, T-shirt and shorts the next....
My son worked on his college course work yesterday for 18 hours non stop. I guess he got a bit behind... I had to tell him to go to bed at 3am... I am going to have to get him up now. Ever seen Oscar the grouch from Sesame street??? Well he lives in a bedroom down the landing from where I am sat....

Morning everyone,
Rainy old day here today. I didn't end up going into town this arv. DH isn't working tomorrow so he wants to come in and get some mushroom compost for his garden. :rolleyes:Saves me catching the bus. Went around to DGS this morning and had a lovely time. I'm bringing him up here tomorrow morning. Vacumed & washed floors. Been crocheting this arv watching Beemuzed with Liz Hurley. I really enjoyed it.
Any sewers out there I've posted a question in the sewing thread so I would really appreciate it if someone, anyone, would help.
MrsMix

Morning all
Thick frost here this morning, had to scrape the car before we could get to the station, hubby's working a long day today & most of this week.
I had a productive day yesterday, I got 3 more squares crocheted, cleared out & tidied my bedroom, though it won't last long, it's not a very big room, we have a huge bed & I have to keep all the spare bedding, spare toiletries & wine beside the bed else Katy just uses everything up.
I shall light a candle for my mother today, it would have been her 77th birthday.
Today I intend to tackle the kitchen & clean the blinds, cupboard tops etc.
I hope Katy has cheered up a bit after yesterdays tears, if she has it won't last long, I've just had my phone bill in, £57 instead of the usual £25, thank heavens for itemised billing, each phonecall to Jamaica is clearly shown!
Smokey you are still in my thoughts.
Hugs to those in need.
Have a good day all.
Hugs Hester

Morning everyone
Frosty here this morning, DH had to scrape the car, but at least it's dry. Slimming World weigh in this morning, and I think I have lost, so everyone keep your fingers crossed.
I had a few things close on Ebay last night, and they did quite well, so some of my lovely keen buyers have paid already, so will post their items later :j
The library van comes onto our estate on Tuesdays, so might go and get some books. I literally have hundreds to read, but love getting library books, it makes me think of when I was little and Mum used to take me to the library.
Hope everyone is OK, hugs to everyone (whether you want one or not)
Edited to say, Bee, don't feel stupid. I couldn't get my new laptop to paste, and DH eventually realised that our copy of Microsoft Office was on a trial period, and had expired and we needed to get a new copy. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning all. N9EAV - 'operation' sounds exciting and intriguing!
Well, it's lovely here today; frosty but blue sky and the sun looks beautiful rising up behind the trees. I shall take a photo but I still haven't had time to practice uploading on to here.CATZNINE has given me some advice about that so I shall have a go later.
(((Hugs))) to Smoky and the LOs. Thinking of you all.
CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:
MARTYN - (((Hugs))) to you.
Well, today I have a pile of ironing to do that will turn into a mountain if I don't get it done. We're having fish and chips (HM not from the chippie!) for dinner so I don't have much in the way of food prepping to do. Pudding is fresh pineapple wedges leftover from last night.
I have a small bit of paperwork to do and I also have a Dr's appointment at 3pm - I have this strange little rash on my tummy that won't go away. I showed it to the nurse who did my annual smear test on Friday who said it looks like shingles. I was always told that shingles was really painful and that you felt quite ill with it, so I don't think it's that. Perhaps it's eczma but I've never had that before either! A bit of a mystery at the moment!
Anyway, DH has just left for work - he only came back once for something he had forgotten! He's working in Salisbury for the next 4-6 weeks so life should be a bit steadier for a while; it's only about 45 minutes away with no traffic hold-ups! The schools in this area are off for the next two weeks so the roads are less busy. I would have thought all the schools would have stuck to the same timetable; some were off at Easter itself and some are off now, when Easter is but a distant memory!
Anyway, off to clean the bathroom, clear up the breakfast things and put the ironing board up! Whether it gets used is another matter!
See you later. Have a great day!
