Not much getting done here. I am having quite bad dizzy spells so off to the Dr's on Friday. Will spend the rest of the day undoing an old cardigan so I can reuse the wool.

Hi Miss Kitty and welcome to the best thead on mse. You'd be hard pushed to find a nicer bunch of people. I have only been a regular for 3 weeks and have been made to feel so welcomed. A word of warning ........ it's addictive!
    but fun.

Afternoon all. Slightly better nights sleep. Decided to take the laid back approach and just let DS nod off when he was ready. He dozed off in his chair at 7.45. We got a 2.30am wake for feed and I did get a bit stressed but I think that is what's bothering him - he's picking up on my stress and worrying. Went to a pal's this morning who has a fantastic well behaved DD, she is so laid back about parenting and her DD slept well from about 2 weeks. Took a leaf out of her book and so far so good - he seems pretty content. Also got her Bumbo, it's pink but he doesn't care. We'll have it until her DS to be gets to 3/4 months when my DS will be too old for it anyway so it's worked out well. Also getting her door bouncer soon. Good day for moneysaving!

    afternoon everyone.

i'm still feeling knackered at the moment. Can't decide if i'm coming down with something or whether the prospect of exams is helping me invent it :D

charlies mum - i love the library too. my parents live in a rural location and they have a library van visit once a fortnight. it's always so much fun. I must make an effort to visit our library more often. At the moment i am raiding my friends bookshelves, which is still relatively cost effective, but their selection is a bit more limited than the library :D

GR - are you trying to do too much? remember to look after yourself.

Martyn - glad you are still around.

right going to pull myself together and do a whip round the house. some posts have inspired me to use up the ailing bananas by way of a cake and then i MUST read some notes this evening.

Well the kitchen looks like a bomb site and the dinner is prepared ready to finish off later, i`ve made spicy meatballs and sausage bites and the tomato dahl is in the slowcooker.
The houndies have been for a huge walk and are now asleep and i`ve done no housework whatsoever:eek:

The promised ironing hasn`t been done and probably won`t get done now either cos i`m still on here:rolleyes:

I think i`ll have another cuppa and a long soak in a nice hot bath and then try and sort out the kitchen ready for later.

I`ve also smoked my last ciggie and i`m starting to feel jumpy already so i`ll make sure i take a gallon of evening primrose oil well before DH gets home or he`ll be wondering why i`m scowling and wanting to kill him:D
    Catch up later

    Afternoon all

Well, hoovered everywhere and polished, cleaned the bathroom and then my daughter-in-law rang and asked if I would have their dog for the afternoon. He's only a 3 month labrador and they haven't left him alone for so long as she was taking dgd to the zoo with some friends for half term and would be away for 4-5 hours. I've had a great time!! Took him for a walk, give him his lunchtime meal (still on 3 meals a day) let him out in the garden. Didnt have to fight too much to get him back in. We played fetch and tug of war when he came in and I am now ever so slightly worn out, lol. Only glitch is when he peed in the conservatory, I think he thought he was still out in the garden :D

Have a good rest of the day and ((hugs)) to those that need them

    Hello again :hello:

The house has been dusted, mopped and hoovered ready for the 2 DDs to start messing it up again. I've made a huge pan of vegetable soup using all of the leftover cauliflower leaves and a few veges thrown it. That will do for my lunch at work for the rest of the week.
I've been sorting out my finances and juggling things around, making sure that we've got enough in the kitty to cover our big Oz holiday this summer.:D
DH is home now so I'm off to make the tea and the packed lunches.
    Bye!:D

I haven't been able to use my pc or get into the kitchen all day, Katy had 6 or 7 pages open trying to find a new job but kept using the phone in the kitchen, I can't work in the kitchen when she's in there as I can't cope with her screaming. Her life seems to be falling apart at the seams at the moment, she's finally realised (or been told) that she doesn't have the appropriate qualifications to teach in the UK, so she's spent hours on the phone to Jamaica trying to get her 'pending' diploma sent over here, but she's getting the runaround, everyone is trying to pass the problem on & she ends up screaming at them. The online lover turns out to be married & her family back home have fallen out with the family here & she's piggy in the middle.
She finally went to bed a while ago, so I'm about to start cleaning the kitchen.
Rump Steak (reduced), chips & mushrooms for tea.
    Hugs Hester
