Is anyone watching GMTV about this couple who won £100,000 on a scratch card, and blew the lot. They now want the council to pay their rent

    I'm speechless ...

    morning all.
well done dlb on the weight loss!!! :T

hugs to betheebee - hopefully the operation will stop the pain

nicola1982 (hope i got your name right) i hope your little one was more co-operative on the sleep front last night and you feel better - lack of sleep is horrid.

i have a busy day today. after dropping dd1 at school and dd2 at playgroup i have to drive across town to drop dd3 off for a taster session at nursery in preperation for me returning to work after maternity leave on thursday.

i then have just enough time to buy essentials from a supermarket before picking up dd2, then back to collect dd3.

a fantastic friend and her tribe are visiting in the afternoon so i will be getting nothing done today OS.

hugs to those who need them, and i hope everyone has a good day.

I just watched the couple on GMTV too Charlies mum. Sounds like they dont know how to watch their cash. they were in 12,000 of arrears with the council before they won the money...and the interest wasnt enough...so they spent the lot. nice logic.

anyway....today just got DS appointment at GP again. He's been ill for two weeks again, and although he's feeling better cant get his appetite back. he's lost weight yet again. Unfortunately the only appointment is 9.30 and I have hair appointment at 9.45. hope there's no queue. anyway he should be going himself, he's nearly 18 now ;) Will see what happens.
DD is at a sleepover, dont know when we will see her.
tonights tea, meatballs. might do some ironing....might...or might not!

Goodmorning everyone. Well done on starting the thread Betheebee! I still have lots of puter things I can't do yet but bit by bit people on here showed me how and now I can more or less get away with pretending I know what I'm doing! LOL

My mum used to put washing out in the snow if it was windy - it would come in dry. I never noticed frost whitened it though. Great tip.

Well donen on the weight loss, DLB. I'm ashamed to say I've gained nearly everything I lost back again. I've been pretty strung out the last month or so and I've been comfort eating dreadfully. It's amazing how easily it piles back on.

Well, porridge and dried fruit for breakfast
    Mushroom pate sandwiches for lunch
Carrot and chickpea curry for dinner.

Have a good day everyone. (((smoky)))

    :hello: Morning!
    Hope everyone is ok.
Both DDs are still off sick from school and I'm hoping they are going back tomorrow as I return to school then.
Found out yesterday that I know the family of the 3 year old who fell 100ft in Primark last week. I've taught her brothers and actually met her when she was a baby. I remember her mum being so pleased to at last have a little girl. She's critical but stable, poor little thing.
The weather here is wet and cold so I'm going to give the house a good clean, hoovering and dusting around the sick girls. Tonight's tea will be chicken, bacon and mushroom in a white creamy sauce with tagliatelle with smoothies.
    Have a good day!:D

    Morning guys :j

Yesterday was a pretty productive day, managed to sort out the kids room from top to bottom, came out with 2 bin bags of rubbish, 1 bin bag for car boot and a large box full for car boot. The room seems a lot less cluttered now and it feels good! :D

Sunny here today, so need to get some washing out on the line, also need to plant up some seeds to start growing my own veg. Have has the seed packets looking at me for ages waiting to be planted so really must get on and do it. Nothing too fancy just tomatoes, peppers, lettuce etc.

Got an appointment at 10am to volunteer with a healthy eating project. They go round deprived parts of the county offering healthy cooking classes to those on little money, showing them they can cook on a budget. I thought it would be ideal, as I could learn new tips aswell as showing them everything I've learned OS :D It's also going to be part ofn my youth award so kills 2 birds with 1 stone :D

    Dinner tonight is spag bol.

Right off to have a shower, hugs to all

    Morning Everyone

LO slept all night and we had a dry nappy so I'm a very happy mummy this morning. She currently tucking into her 2nd breakfast of yogurt.

Plans for today are to go to the posh swimming baths in town and then nip into Morrisons for afew branded bits that I need. Before we go I've got a list of jobs to do including popping a Gammon joint in the SC. The WM is currently on and the DW needs unloading.

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning everyone

Sunny but very cold here brrrrrrrrrrrrr

WM has just finished but not sure if I should hang it out cos just seen the weather and rain is on the way. Now WM has finished I can put DW on, can't do them together because they run into the same outlet, I know the kitchen floor needs washing but would rather do it with a mop.

Going to library this morning then when I get back its pie making time, cooked steak and kidney in SC last night also need to make some sort of cake too.

Then may finish my sewing, am making a nappy stacker for DD but it started annoying me yesterday, the top wouldn't sit right so put it away for another day.

Oh and also have to do the daily search on jobcentre and local paper site for a job as I know I am getting a bit too comfortable not working, but unfortunately the bank balance is getting very uncomfortable:eek:

Don't know what I'm having for lunch, probably fridge suprise, probably have one of the pies for dinner tonight.

Hope everyone has a good day

    Morning everyone :hello:

It`s a bit nippy outside this morning but it`s also nice and sunny so hopefully it will get a bit warmer soon.
I`ve already emptied the wm and dw and i plan to actually do some ironing today  it`s my most hated job and i only usually do it if something desperately needs doing. I remember years ago gradually replacing all of DH clothes with ones that don`t crease much :o he thought he was being treated to new clothes all the time but i had an ulterior motive :D

Dinner tonight is roast chicken veg and pots with the chicken left over from yesterday so not much cooking to do, i will make some spicy meatballs later to freeze and i have my eye on a recipe on the GC thread for tomato dahl which i may just have a try at if i have time.
    Catch up later guys.
    Have a good day.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Freezing here. Thick ice on the car at 5.30am

Well, I spent nearly 6 hours doing it, but I've finally got broadband at home:T It wasn't getting that to work, but downloading all the security software that took forever. Oh the freedom....

Done some of my daily clicks, but will probably do the rest from the comfort of my own home this afternoon.

There's still a small part of my snowman left in the garden.

    Hope everyone's ok
