Hi all :hello: nice and sunny here today although it was frosty first thing. I have two loads of washing on the line, hoping it will get dry.
I've just whipped through the house with the hoover and vinegar and emptied the bins etc so am feeling virtuous for now. My car has been picked up - it has had a safety recall notice issued, so am at home with DD now for the day until it comes back. The jacket I've been working on is nearly finished so I'm hoping to do that today.
Tomorrow I'm meeting up with my DSis for the day, I'm so looking forward to that, it's months (literally) since I had a nice day out anywhere. Will try not to spend too much moneyalthough now that I've discovered that my new credit card works beautifully I don't like my chances :rotfl:
Hugs to Smokey, Benthosboy, and anyone else feeling down or unwell.
Aussie, I tried to answer you on the sewing thread but as you can see, I'm not much use, really. Sorry.
Sausages and mash for supper so nice easy cooking day for me today too.
Have a good one, all.

:hello:Morning!
Mr Catz:cool: survived his first day back at work but 4 hours was more than enough! He has gone back in today with a packed lunch and I have to do some more baking to keep this up. We are going down the wholefoods route as much as possible so I am hunting down more recipes. I made Arkonites fruit snickerdoodles with wholemeal flour, brown sugar, organic eggs and butter and dried cranberries in with the dried fruit, they really went down well. Will make some wholewheat scones with dates in later as I have milk that is past it's best but great for scones.
Breakfast was Oatabix (normally porridge but slept in:o)
Lunch - wm pasta salad
Dinner - Fish Pie and steamed vegetables
I have a birthday card and some tags to make up for dd's birthday next week so will have to hunt out my cardmaking bits. Hard to believe my youngest will be 24:eek:
Well done to little Joanna on getting throught the night dry!:T
(((hugs))) to Smokey and lo's, JackieO, Catowen and friend, Mrs Mix, Hilstep, Benthosboy, Kyle and all who could use one.

Washing is still in the machine and DH is on to BT trying to sort out the wireless connection for his laptop.
Made late breakfast for DD and then need to find wellies and waterproof for DD's field trip at uni. Rather than go round the shops might try Tesco or Argos online.
Having a cup of tea while DH stresses over his laptop!
Might make chicken curry for tea as we had soup and gammon yesterday.
Hugs to everybody."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon everyone
2nd load of washing on and dogs been walked round the common. Managed to pick up a friend for them - there is a collie who prefers to walk with other dogs if the owners don't mind. It was great for me as our youngest one isn't always receptive to other dogs but this one had perfect manners so it was a good result all round.
The forecast here is rain all day but is has been lovely and sunny and the first load of washing is blowing on the line.
Benthosboy - glad the sleep is sorting itself out - it's so hard to stay focused when you are deprived of sleep. i hope you manage to get some sorting out of stuff done today. Interested to hear you have sold diving suits. I have my son's to sell (been meaning to sell it for about 4 or 5 years!) but not sure where to put it. Any advice gratefully accepted! I've also to sell his fencing top - might contact the club. He hasn't fenced since he was 11 and now he's 21 so I guess it can be sold!
Hope everyone has a good day
((((hugs)))) to those is need of them

Hello all !
Well, not much will get done today due to my back giving me jip !! So any activity has to be the 'sitting down' kind.
Letters I can write, cards I can make so I'll not feel my times totally wasted and I can cope with getting the dinner if I can think of something not too complicated to do with sausages................lol
Have a good day all and hugs (((((((((:o )))))))))))) to all those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Hi everyone
Well I am back from my holiday and missing the heat! Was strange to receive picture messages of snow while I was lazing in 35 degree heat.
Took today off work so I could get washing done etc and the machine is still not on! I bought back a "funny tummy" and not even dressed yet! and my energy levels are low. Not sure what to eat yet as not sure whats in the freezer and also whether I should be eating at all.
Hugs to those who need them

:hello: Hello everyone!
YET AGAIN this will be short. I had a jobinterview this morning which lasted from 9 till 12 - and couldn't sleep the night before because I was so nervous.
Surely you won't fault me for choosing my bed over you? I'm taking a nice cup of tea and my Money Dite book, so hopefully won't miss ya :P

Hi all
DH was fine at work yesterday. They were really understanding and told him that "these things happen". Needless to say, he's going to look after the appropriate server to within an inch of its life!
I'm back at work tomorrow, so I'm sorting and tweaking things for my class. I hope that they haven't forgotten everything as I have some children who had made so much progress towards the end of last term. DH isn't letting me hand in my notice until the last minute, ie just before half term, but at least I'll be able to bide my time trying to find another job......
Right, I'd better get on and stop procrastinating too much....
