    So today I have
    • done one load of washing
    • ironed all the bedding for guest room and put back on
    • cleaned guest room from top to bottom incl.
      • bed frame cleaned
      • windows cleaned
      • all paintwork cleaned
      • all glass wardrobe doors cleaned (I had a visitor of the small persuasion at the weekend who took his glass of lemonade in the guest room and then promptly decided to stick his hands in the glass and smear them on the doors
    • hovered
    • bees waxed and polished bedside cabinet
Just had lunch, made a smaller portion than yesterday as just wanted to go to sleep for the rest of the day :o It's a bit early for lunch but I had an earlyish start and forgot to have brekkies

Am sure Tilly is very pleased with you ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Wow, ATT, you've been busy!

I'm usually very fastidious when it comes to cleaning. But at the mo with the boys off school and messing the place up as fast as I'm tidying/cleaning it I'm just doing the necessary.

Can't wait till they're back in school, I can reclaim my house!

impressive. I never bother to put clean stuff on the guest beds until just before guests arrive - you can guarantee someone will leave the door open and everything will be covered in muddy dog prints if I did.
    Oh, and I don't iron ... anything :)

Crikey Mally, what, no ironing ever? I think I can just about pretend I didn't see that but *whispers quietly* does Tilly know?
Not sure if you have read on here but there is just myself and Tilly and another lady whose name temporarily escapes me who LIKE ironing

BTW, you sig says new car with 'new puppy' next to it, are you really getting a new car for the new puppy ;)

I spend a lot of time away with work Gilly so while that helps with mess and bills, it somehow doesn't help with dust and dirt :o

Yes, definitely having a cleanathon as everywhere needs doing properly, just hoping my enthusiasm and energy holds up as this is going to run over a few days

Right, just having a quick break before I start the next cleaning tasks

Since the last post I've been concentrating on the kitchen so have
    • cleaned all kitchen surfaces, e.g. all units, tops, ladders out for all the high bits like lighting pelmets etc
    • hob had a good scrub with B@rkeepers friend (love it!)
    • Outside of oven and microwave cleaned
    • Cooker hood cleaned (a massive chrome one with big chimney front which was particularly yakky)
    • All tiles washed down
    • All items that live on kitchen benches cleaned (not many, I don't like clutter which is a bit rich considering what the kitchen looked like first thing this morning)
    • DW loaded, run and emptied
Ok, off to clean the kitchen windows and floor next. I really want to clean all the insides of the cupboards, microwave and oven too but think I'll leave the 'inside' stuff for another day as too much excitement would not be good for me:rotfl:

It's amazing what you can get done when you are in the right frame of mind and get cracking, the annoying thing I find is that these things never take as long as you expect so why do we put them off?

    Latest done list is
    • Kitchen windows cleaned including yakky vents
    • Sink all scrubbed, shined and polished
    • Floor all scrubbed
    • Kicking boards and skirtings cleaned while down doing floor
    • Smoke alarm, heat sensor and house alarm sensors cleaned, gawd, they were grim, mind you, can't remember ever cleaning them before :rotfl:
    • All lights and switches cleaned
So, guest room and kitchen buuuuuuutiful :A:A

Rest of house looks there has been a police raid
The utility room is usually my only dumping ground and that's going to be a big job and not for today! I've also been moving some stuff into the lounge as I've gone round, the stuff that hasn't got a proper home so utility and lounge definitely the worst!

I've seen a few people talk about using FD's internet banking to monitor ALL their accounts no matter which organisation they are with

Many thanks to Gally who mentioned it on Lula's thread, I didn't know none FD customers could use it so just registered and it's brilliant, really easy to set up and can't wait to [STRIKE]play[/STRIKE] use it later when I add all the other passwords etc into it

If you don't use it yourself, definitely give it a whirl!

I really, really hate ironing so I do not do it. DH does his own shirts and anything for DD that needs it which isn't much. I hang things to dry very precisely to avoid having to iron. I will actively not buy clothes that would need a lot of ironing. I am 5'11" and have not yet found an ironing board tall enough not to kill my back. If DH didn't do it I would pay someone.
I am getting a new car for the puppy, mostly. We can fit one dog in the back of our estate car (just) but definitely not 2. These days estates have sloping backs rather that the old boxy designs so there is not much head room for the dog. We camp several times a year and have started to resemble a hedgehog arriving with a top box and either the bike rack or a trailer on the towbar, plus the dog in the boot, the seat next to DD piled high with luggage. We just need more space - plus I race the dog in forests and the current car rides very low so I keep grounding it on tracks (and local speedbumps) :(
DH says it is the world's most expensive puppy.

Didn't manage to get as much cleaning done last night and first thing today as I did yesterday but still quite pleased with progress
    • my bedroom window cleaned and window paintwork washed
    • all house hovered
    • three work files merged into one, some old paperwork for the bin and two spare files to throw out. No I will not use them, used to keep them in the past and they are just clutter
    • some rubbish/old stuff thrown out of utility
    • one box of old books bought for coppers at a charity thing that has been lurking in my car boot for ages put away on bookshelves (that took a lot of re-arranging and have had to double the row e.g. books at front and back of shelf which I don't like :o
    • one black bin liner of rubbish put of for binmen
    • quite a large bag for recycling rubbish
    • food cupboard cleaned out, note the singular here, when you work away you don't keep much in but it is a large cupboard :D
    • 2 carrier bags of old food thrown out :eek: this is a rare occurrence but didn't like doing it none the less
