Just a few quick updates then

I've recently also opened the T$B monthly saver so £250pm at 5%. Also had two nice successes when it came to home electrical appliances that broke. Both were under warranty, amazingly one was a 3 year warranty and the thing died two weeks before expiry so how lucky was that! I managed to buy both products back as new rather than them being provided as replacements which would have meant reduced warranty and even better one of them was in the sale at 50% what I'd originally paid :j

All car things happened last month so service, MOT, tax, road recovery etc all paid for out of the car account. I had £75 left over so put that into savings to go against the mortgage at some point.

    Hello diary :o

So a quick post for now and I plan to spend some time on Spreadsheets and budgets over the weekend so that I can update plans and my siggy etc

That period of ill health really forced me to slow down in a number of ways and I continue to focus on simplifying a number of areas of my life. My income was also reduced for a short while so I took the decision at that point to save all the OP's rather than OP them directly off the mortgage to allow me extra flexibility and access to the funds should I need them as at that point I wasn't quite sure how things would pan out.

There have been many reductions to the interest rates being offered on savings in recent months so time to change my approach again methinks.

I have an amount ish in mind i'd like to keep accessible and I think in the short term (as some of my savings accounts are maturing and I just can't get comparable rates) I will end up paying some lump sums as OP's

    Hi all

Signature updated :j though still need to work on a 2017 OP target. Spent a bit of time at weekend on the numbers which was good to see where things were at. I've had a spendy few months as also thought the time was right to make some home improvements that I've wanted for a while but kept deferring because of wants V needs but then I thought stuff it, I'm going to get it all done. The big parts of all done now, just some cosmetic ish things left like carpets/flooring etc

This week I'd like to change/renew my boiler cover and also see what can be done with my BT package, good timing as the annual line rental is almost due too
