Hi all

Hope everyone is getting on ok. Just sent the update in for the MFiT T3 challenge, hope FB is ok as we've not seen him around for a while

March payday doesn't feel too far off whereas the Jan to Feb pay period seemed to last forever!

Have had quite a good MSE month incl 2 pairs of boots reduced from £69.50 to £14.99 in the sale and then I got another 25% off that re a discount voucher :D Even better one pair was a present so really pleased with that

Have also had 2 free trips to the cinema re the Club Ll0yds vouchers and also boosted some T3sco vouchers for the first time ever and used them for a meal

Freezer is well stocked with lots of batch cooked stuff so just the way I like it

I've been waging a war on my toiletries, I didn't think I had that much but boy was I wrong. On the plus side, 85% of them were acquired via hotels ;) and the majority of the rest were gifts. I'm rattling through them really well and continuing to try to not 'save stuff for best'

General decluttering has continued with many a trip to the charity shops and I love seeing more and more space in my wardrobes in particular.

I can see a few people are tracking their daily steps count and this is something i'm doing daily to and have achieved an average of 10k per day for a month now so really happy with that. My best day was last week with a high of just over 16k

MnS and a FD account opened for a relative and will do switches for them both too with some accounts I've deliberately kept back for just this purpose

Planning on opening a MnS one myself too to get the 6% monthly saver though I am concerned about the outcome following the Spanish bank unexpectedly turning me down and I've not had time to appeal yet :o

Weather continues to be wild here so glad I've not had to go far today

    Hi all

Applied for the MnS account yesterday and got accepted today :j Once it's up and running I'll set up a £250 pm to their 6% saver. Really pleased and makes the decline by s@ntander even stranger.

Got a reminder letter today to say that ISA rate due to expire, it's 2.5% so pretty good as ISA's go albeit I decided not to add to it last year as I could get better interest elsewhere on current account.s

So, that's another job to do to either keep the ISA and where to transfer it to or to move the money to a better paying account. Need to do the same for family member too so the list gets longer

A NSD today and yesterday was only £1.95 so I can live with that.

Need to call a locksmith but think will wait until next pay day, the lock is still working just not behaving right so I think it can wait as also no danger of locking myself out with the nature of the problem

Work expenses submitted, no one else owes me money and CC will be back to nil when expenses are paid

I've noticed a nice couple of milestones with the spreadsheet this last month

    • My overall balance has sneaked into the 119's
    • My overall repaid balance now in the 70k's :j
I'm having a couple of days away later in the year and the accommodation and tickets are all paid for. Just need to book the train tickets which i'll do when they are released and hopefully get a good deal/CB at the time

Also planning to book a summer week away so will try and pay for that well in advance

ooh, nearly forgot, the announcement of Ll0yds paying a small interim dividend will increase the coffers too

Must work out by how much and cheque whether some of it will come in cash as I think I have most, if not all, of them set up to reinvest any divvys

Ooh, I hadn't realised that Lloyds we're going to pay a dividend.

I'll have to try and remember how to log in to my shares online. I haven't done it for years, as it was too depressing.

My aim is to live long enough for the shares to get back to where they were before the crash!

A dividend will be most welcome

Hi Goldiegirl, thanks for stopping by, I've been lurking on your thread and you're doing great!

Yes, Ll0yds have announced a 0.75 interim dividend, don't have the details to hand but from memory think it's payable 19th April ish. Think I read they intend a final dividend for the year too

If you've not looked at the shares for a while, it's worth doing as they have been creeping up. The government has just announced they've sole another tranche too so the company is slowly but surely returning to private hands. I believe the divvy also means it will be more attractive to institutions too as many of them can't buy into companies who don't pay a divvy

Don't think this divvy will make us rich yet but sounds like it could be an unexpected bonus for you and Mr Goldie

Did you take up the open offers at the time?

    Hi all

Another NSD for me and tomorrow will be low spend, just need to buy a Mothers Day car and the pressie is already sorted

I've been researching ISA's for both me family member. At the moment for me S@ntander looks best though considering they've just declined me for the 123 i'm not sure what will happen if I try to transfer an ISA in? Still not fully decided whether to keep the ISA or put it in a higher rate account, that's if I can find one as already have the 'best ones'

    Hi all

I joined Liv1ng Soc1al today as there were a couple of offers I had my eye on so there goes £35 on two deals :D Did do them via TCB though at 6.2% and also noticed they are linked to T£sco Clubcard so extra points for that.

Pay day not too far off and be good to get there so sense check my numbers as I think I could be able to open another new account on top of the MnS one I've just done

Still not sorted the ISA transfer, must get a move on :o
