Selling my house - was expecting an offer today??

Hi Everyone,
Just a little update, no word from the viewers at all even though the EA has left several messages for them. Never mind, hoping to get another viewing or two booked in for this week!! Also I have seen a couple of other places I like so I'm not that upset about the other house being sold now. I am keeping my fingers crossed that someone will love it.
On a plus note I noticed that the FTSE 100 is up again today (been on the up for a couple of weeks now) so at least I'm making a bit of money on my shares!!
Keeping my fingers crossed for a late spring/summer bounce in the housing market (but not on the houses I like, hehe)!!:money:0 -
There aint gonna be any spring bounce... there going to be a spring/summer freefall.0

What a terrible shame. But you've heard it here even hat some people aren't interested in giving 'constructive' feedback, even when they see how it affect people like you
I'm glad you're on the lookout again - don't worry about 'dream' houses. If you found one that quickly, there will be another along soon enough. 26 million houses in this country - at least a few are going to suit you!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Thanks Doozergirl, yeah I'm sure something suitable will come along, hopefully the same day I sell mine!! Its a lovely sunny afternoon to be viewing houses still time for someone to call for tonight i guess.
Yeah its annoying that they haven't even called and left any feedback, i'm not very impressed and I have learned from comments on here not to trust a word of what anyone says who comes around to view and then I can't get my hopes up!!!
Neas I don't think you can guarantee this freefall of house prices and I reckon we might be in for an interest rate cut on Wednesday which will take some pressure off the banks and they could put some rates down too. You can never be sure of what is going to happen although I am not saying prices will rise or even stay the same I just think that a "crash" is not on the cards maybe a little dip instead!!

For what it's worth I also found the least enthusiastic viewers were the ones who made offers! It's really annoying though but then I guess it does come down to the fact that they don't want to let on if they've fallen in love with the place so they can haggle on price! Oh well ...0

I leave the house when viewers come round, I don't want to hear what they're saying and they don't feel obliged to be polite. No feedback is really annoying. We had a viewing just before xmas, really enthusiastic , asked the agent if we'd accept a lower offer (which we would have) and asked if she could come back with her kids. Never heard a word after that and the agent couldn't get hold of her. We have also missed out on a house that would have been everything we were after, but we've found others (we're looking on the Isle of Wight). Our 1st viewing in nearly 4 months resulted in an offer and we accepted, so sit tight there will be someone that wants your house out there.0

I've always given feedback - when it's been requested.
To be fair, with lots of EA's, they show you round a property and then don't even have the manners to check if you want to make an offer; don't assume it's the buyers that are rude; it may be the EA that is lazy.
Even if I don't like a house, I'm usually happy to give feedback. But in my experience, EA's often don't bother to chase it up.0 -

Its the quite ones you want to watch out for. They may come across as being unenthusiastic but their brains are racing away, placing furniture here & there & 'absorbing' the property.0 -
i like house very much, but i think i would have painted the external doors of the kitchen to give it a fresher, cleaner, brighter feel
i agree the second bedroom has been photographed in very poor lighting and seems gloomy0 -
Interest rate cuts arent good for inflation... We certainly aint got 2% inflation.. like the goverment yaps on about.0
