    Morning all

I'm late this morning as I took the dog out at 7 instead of chatting on here - it was really foggy and I didn't see one of his arch enemies until it was nearly too late

Dentist this morning, my teeth have become really sensitive and I now need injections to numb my gums before they can do a scale and polish :o I have made some butternut squash soup for lunch which I can drink through a straw if I have to :D

Chilli for dinner with garlic bread - good job I didn't have that last night or the poor dentist would have suffered :rotfl:

((( Hugs ))) to anyone needing one x

    Hi everyone

What is it with sleep problems - with our house on the market and the worry about what's going on - talking about mortgages on tele now! Anyway we've put the price down by a hefty chunk.

Wednesday - very late - mum's nursing home rang to say she was going to hospital. She's got pneumonia, will be going to see her today. I haven't seen her since Christmas - reasons many and varied, but generally horrid. I have an estranged sister and after I've been to the hospital this morning I have to decide if I should try to find her. She's only seen mum once in 15 years, I've only seen her once in more than 20 years. Mum doesn't remember her because of her dementia, though I think she would if she saw her. If I did it it would be for her more than my mum - decisions! Wait and see how things go. Last night spoke to the sister on the ward and asked what the visiting time was. 'Come when you can' she said.

My dd had wet beds for quite a while and one night I woke up and found her in her room, sitting in a corner, wet and cold and very upset. The next night I put on her chair a clean sheet, clean pyjamas and a towel. I showed her how to do everything - never had another wet bed. I think she was about 5/6 at the time.

When we are in the middle of stressful difficulties, it is so hard, if not impossible, to think of a time when it will be in the past! Difficult to know how to give comfort, just to be there for someone and to know that people are thinking about you helps.

I asked dh when he though life would get back to normal - he thought - 'It depends what you think is normal' he replied. It's so true, normality changes like the weather.

    Morning everyone,
seems quite bright outside so i`ll be in the graden shortly hanging out the washing. Hope it stays nice today as it`s my day off :j

I need to get the bed stripped and another load in the wm and start some general tidying up as it looks like a bombsite in here lol.

I think some baking is called for this afternoon too as all the frozen bits i hid have been scoffed, might even pick the iron up later.
    Have a good day peeps.

Well my car has finally been fixed. Turns out it was a short by the starter motor. Cost me £35 to get it fixed so not too painful, but a cost I could've done without.

Flights to and from Spain for next weekend have been booked. I don't need a hotel as I'm staying with a friend. It's very exciting.

Work have put me on the rota for tomorrow, meaning I'm doing 7 days in a row, something they said I shouldn't be doing:confused: Ah well, can't be helped.

Hoping to sort out my ISA later, but not sure if I'll get round to it.

HM barmbrac in my bag for breakie and a nice tuna mayor sarnie for lunch.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Good morning everyone,

I haven't posted for ages, also due to sleep problems - ds aged 3 is causing mine. He keeps shouting me in the night, and yesterday morning he decided that 5am was a good time to get up for the day. He shouted me 3 times in the night - I went in to him once and shouted to him to go back to sleep the other two times, which he did.

I also told him last night that he must stay in bed until his light comes on (6.30am, it's on a timer). It meant I had to lie in bed listening to him grumbling from about 6am, but that's better than 5am.

I can't really complain, my dad says he sleeps better than I did at that age. It's just hard with dh away as I don't get a chance to catch up on my sleep.

I think I fancy a bit of decluttering and chucking things out today. This room looks like a bombsite. I have been doing the cleaning, but it's been more picking things up, cleaning and then putting them back. I think we need a grand tidy up today, and I have ironing to do.

Foodwise, there is no more room in my freezer. I will be liberating a piece of HM quiche for my dinner and some quorn stew for the boy, so that leaves me free to concentrate on sorting this mess out hopefully.

Hugs to Smoky and Martyn, and anyone else that needs one.

    Take care all of you

"DH 's foot was worse, he couldn't bear any weight on it at all. I ferried him to the Doc's and to cut a long story short, he's got broken bones!!! "
Churchmouse - this is just what happened to us three years ago - DH fell and twisted his ankle and three days later we realised he'd broken it! Was then in plaster for 12 weeks altogether - and that's when I realised all the things he normally does around the house as he couldn't do any of them! He had enormous problems using crutches and found stairs and steps very tricky indeed! Hope your DH has fewer problems!
