Benthosboy - glad you have had some sleep. It is very hard to keep everything going when you are getting by on just a little sleep. Take it easy and rest when you can and you will help your tired mind.

(((Hugs))) to SMOKY and the LOs.
WMF - try Breathe-Right strips for your DH's snoring; they work a treat on my DH. £6.49 for 10 in Superdrug but I get them on eBay - exactly the same ones, for £23.99 for 114! They come from the USA. Well worth a go.
MARTYN - it will take a while for the sleeping tablets to settle you into a pattern and please give yourself time to come to terms with what has been going on lately. You can't rush these things; just take a day at a time and it will, I promise, get better. Just enjoy your cooking tonight and, who knows, it could spark a real interest that will help take your mind of things. If you want any cooking advice, recipes or ideas for how to eat for next to nothing, we are all here for that as well as a shoulder to cry on.

First of all hugs and loves to those in need!!!
Well, I've had an appalling (sp) couple of days, the weather has been absolutley gorgeous and I've been moping indoors. I gave up cola and caffine at the weekend though so I think im going through a sorta withdrawal and its making me all down and stuff. Heres hoping today will be better...
On the os side, Ive done little, made some sausage rolls the other day and they're going into packups with my peanut butter and jelly cookies, Im mostly on top of the laundry, but Im off tomorro:D , which means I can catch up then. Got a split shift at work today 9.30 - 2 and 5 - 10, yay!
Anyway, hope you all have good days!!!When life gives you lemons......Grab a bottle of tequila and call me over!

Today, is the last day before school hols:j Looking forward to us all being away and spending some lovely time together with no schooll runs etc. Boys will love the cottage we've booked its in the middle of the country with gorgeous countryside. Hopefully the heating will be up to scratch otherwise we will freeze seeing as the weather is due to take a turn colder. Think I might take our patchwork lap quilts with us just in case:rolleyes:
Hope you all have a good day

Morning All
Off to work soon, just waiting for Katy to get her a**e in gear.
I posting off 7 squares for HTA today also 3 for Smokey to Lainey.
Takeaway tonight, celebration, as hubby has a few weeks work lined up.
I'm so looking forward to next fortnight, I really hope Katy goes away as I could do with a break, she's been singing at the top of her voice since 6 am, at least it's a song I can recognise, it's 'Fever'. I daren't play music at home or in the car as she immediately joins in at full volume & drowns out what I'm listening to, lol.
I have loads of plans for housework & filling the freezer over the next 2 weeks when I only work part time.
PP enjoy your time away.
GR my DD didn't sleep through the night till she was 5, so I know how you feel.
Hugs to Smokey & to everyone else in need.

Morning all, especially those who have had very interrupted nights.... I hope you manage to fit in a catnap here & there, or at least sit & rest for a little while...
Memory of a goldfish at the moment, so already forgotten who's posted what...
(((((hugs))))) for those needing them. Martyn; as others have said, it will get better. It may be slow, but keep plodding along. Use your budding OS skills to try and distract yourself on the days when you are ableAnd allow yourself wallowing days too - just keep posting on here so we know you are getting through each day.
ExDH was "making a go of it" on Monday with new wife, by yesterday he had (very abruptly) moved out.... DD's heads are all over the place, but maybe things will settle now.... or not. Time will tell.
Off to a nice hotel in Lewes today for a spa/relax day with a couple of uni mates - a reward for hard workSo not much OS going on, but a load of washing to get hung on the line before I go, and may well set the BM doing a herby granary loaf (definitely my favourite).
Have a good day all.
Edit: Hester - how have you not committed murder yet.....?!?! The expression on my face would tell her exactly what I was thinking.....!! You really must have the patience of a saint.... Love your blog, agree with others - maybe they could make it into a TV series .... The Secret Diary of Hardup, lol!!Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
very grey and miserable looking outside today. not that I'll see much of it. groundhog day at the computer again....running total is 1600 now but I have some bits and bobs typed to add somewhere so probably about half way there now
the fridge has emptied so will need to do some shopping later when everyone gets up and tells me their plans for the next few days. everyone at dogrose towers is still in bed and not expecting to see them until lunchtime. wish I could sleep like that.
too late to wish PP a good holiday - but have one anyway
martyn glad you got some sleep, everything looks better when you are not tired.x x x0 -
morning all,
Very excited as we are off to Devon today, for a week, can't wait to get there we are a nice mile walk from the beach where there is a really good fish restaurant :T will be going there at least once, OH has a driving lesson this morning, and as soon as he gets back we will go, will hopefully be there for three this afternoon. The only thing is that my dog is not coming, she is going to my mums for the week and I will miss her.
For those with babies not sleeping, my DD did not sleep through the night untill she was at school  , she never needed much sleep, and on the odd occasion that we have a late night and she has to get up, she is fine.
Although now she is a teen she can sleep for england, which is quite nice in a way, at least I am not up at 5.30 or before. Hope you all get more sleep tonight.
Martyn, glad the pills worked a little bit, they take a couple of days to get in your system, so tonight might be even better, take care, and give those dogs a big hug from me xx
Smokey thinking of you xx
Hugs to churchies DH, you wicked woman
Weeping river hope it gets better for you today, I can't do caffine I am too sensitive.
