i LOVE the table and decor on it, pink... nice..

apart from that i dont think the shocking pink all through the house is my cup of tea though.

The show home has something to do with breast cancer which is why it's pink

Looks like we are at the same point now. Do you know how long before we set a date?

The solicitors letter said it would take them a week to physically get the money but I think it's all done electronically now so might not take that long.

    Can't wait :-)

Many lenders require five working days to draw the mortgage moneys down to your solicitor.
  • The sols said that we will still be pushing it to exchange contracts on 6th March as they wont get mortgage offer till end of week even though it has been approved. Also they are still waiting for searches.

Think that even after we have exchanged may not move in til bank holiday weekend as we will have some time off work then.

It is exciting isnt it. :T :T

Our solictors got the mortgage offer last week and sent the deeds for signing. We signed that night and drove to their offices to post it back :D

They recieved it Friday so hopefully they have already asked the abbey for the funds???

I am going to email them today to see if we can set a date yet

Speak to the site office, they may be able to tell what stage they are at, has the NHBC inspection been done or booked in?

We are still awaiting the mortgage offer!!!  First Active have had a computer problem with porting mortgage rates this week so we know that we have been approved just gotta wait for the docs.

    Have u exchanged yet Glen?

My sister has received a leaflet mailshot from Bellway today and there are several sites on with substantially reduced plots. To my horror our plot is listed on there for £14000 less!  I have spoken to Bellway and they said its a printing error and the wrong plot number has been put on. However its still the same type of plot but just in a different (not so nice spot) as ours. I have tried to get them to reduce pp a bit due to the leaflet but no joy.

Do I have a leg to stand on or can they just say its a printing error and get away with it?

You could always get a friend to ring up & enquire about 'your' plot. See what they say then. If they are offering a £14k reduction, I'd go back to them armed with this info & try to re-negotiate.

Yeah my brother in law rang actually and they told him it was an error and should have been Plot 58 and that the one on the ad was sold.

Sounds like genuine error so I doubt if you will be able to re-negotiate as a result.
