If they were busy they are bound to want to see if they get any better biters.

You have put yours on the market have you to try and get the 108k?
  • Yes its been on the market now for 4 weeks on Monday at 112500. Think we are going to wait see what happens with part ex and then if no joy going to reduce to 109000 and sit it out here.

    This is the house

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-14699341.rsp?pa_n=1&tr_t=buy

It's 5 bedrooms or 4 bedroom + family room on the third floor
    bathroom + 2 en-suits
    garage + extra parking space

It's a nice house, just not worth the asking price

one thing I did like was the fact that they are all 4/5 beds in the area

I think that is seriously cheap, I suppose it does depend on where you live though, if we were moving to the area, I would have paid the original price and thought I'd got a real bargain !!

This is a similar property, nearest to us

This is the cheapest, but it's Housing Association - Part rent/part buy and not available to everyone'

wow glen, it looks great, and seems like you got a good deal
  • :j :j :j :j :j

We have also signed for our new Bellway part ex. We rejected there first offer and said we wanted more for our property.

We havent got such a good deal as Glen but still over the moon, we are getting £100000 for ours, they are paying our £8500 deposit, £1700 stamp duty and £1300 solicitors fees. When we went to sign the docs we said that we would sign there and then if they included carpets and lino all thru and after a bit of deliberation they agreed.

I dont think we had a bad deal at all as if we had sold ours privately would have prob only got £106000-£108000 and had to pay all our expenses.

We are on for exchange of contracts on 6th May providing all goes ok.

    Fingers crossed.

    We exchange 7th May :D:D:D:D

Just hope the mortgage goes through ok

Not sure where this deposit comes in?? We have only paid £750 reservation fee which comes off the price of the house

That's all they have asked for??
  • We have paid £500 reservation fee. They have put exchange date down as 6th May.

The pp is 169995 and the mortgage we need is 95% . So they are paying the difference. Bout £8500. Really they just prob putting the price up by that but I dont mind as we dont have to fork out a deposit from our equity.

I am worried about mortgage too due to current climate. We have had a decision in principle about 2 weeks ago for more than we need and we are staying with RBS who we are with at the min as we can port current deal. The mortgage advisor is coming this afternoon to sort out application.

We will have to keep each other informed.
