we are with the abbey and staying with them. They ran through the application over the phone (took an hour) and are now sending out the forms to sign.
I'm sure she said she had worked it out using the 'affordability system' rather than an income multiple as this way they dont require wage slips or id
Does that mean we have got the mortgage?
She also said someone would ring us next week after we get the forms, I guess that is just to go over the forms so make sure we understand everything before signing0 -
Thats good, sounds like you are pretty much sorted then.
I have just had a call from financial advisor. As our mortgage is with First Active apparantly they have stopped doing mortgages and apparantly they only deal with remortgages and not new house moves, he thinks there could be a problem in us porting it. It does say in writing on our mortgage offer that we can port it so will challenge it if they say otherwise.
So not sure how we are going to get on. I am a bit worried now to be honest.0 -
We are both nervous0
-
Any news Glen? How are things going?
Guess its still early days but we havent heard a peep yet, just got everything off to sols and got decision in principle from mortgage company.0 -
about the same as you
The mortgage application has been processed and agreed, product fee paid for so we are just waiting for it to go through their mortgage centre
They said we will have an offer middle of this week
Solicitors forms have been filled in and sent back
Just waiting now
What could go wrong? I'm always thinking the worst
We recieved a phone call from Bellway on Saturday to say the garden had been finished and did we want to go for a look....of course
The house is 95% ready now0 -
Oh wow that is lovely. We have to turf ours ourselves.
I keep waiting for something to go wrong too. They have said at First Active that they have 12 day backlog so we have to wait til end of next week for our offer.
Bellway advised us to go in last week and pick the carpets, when we went in the man did as much as he could to stop us picking them there and then in case we changed our mind. So he told us to go back... they havent even took the for sale sign down or put it up as sold yet either so I am thinking do they know something we dont!
Has sold gone up on yours?0 -
No, we don't have any for sale board outside our house.
The new house has a reserved sign up tho0 -
We havent got a for sale board outside our current house yet although they have been out to do all the pics to get it ready to go on market.
Its the new house that still has a sign on the front saying for sale and 5% deposit paid on this plot!! Every time I drive past I want to rip it down and put "Its mine!!!"0 -
They've not even seen our house :rotfl:
altho....it is a bellway and only 7 years old so....0 -
I wish I had taken some photos of the actual house
