Afternoon all.
The sun has just come out!! Hope it stays for a few hours!
Plans for rest of the day are, pick ds2 up from a basketball match at 5pm, then home for tea then off to my friends new house so DH can wire up her electric cooker i gave her, she is hoping to move in this weekend as her and both kids are getting fed up of sleeping in her dads spare room and the new house is now livable at least!
Then it will be home for a big soak in the bath (after half hour on the air walker) and chill in front of the pc and get some more ebaying done.
Have a great evening all
Donna

Want to knit a bit moreof another square later - started while watching "the apprentice" last night and nearly dropped a stitch in my disgust as to who got fired.
I was actually shouting at the screen, I can't believe the stroppy mare didn't get fired (I'm sure you know who I mean)I would have had to be stopped from slapping her

I did the same - so busy making suggestions for you I forgot about our tea!!!
I have settled on roasted veg pasta dish - with lots of cheese of courseAlthough DH is at rugby training tonight so won't be eating till about 8pmish.
Can't believe i missed the Apprentice last night. We watch it religiously every series (DH likes to shout at the screen too) must try and catch up with it.

Afternoon all
Wow what a lot of newbies today, welcome aboard, we're a friendly bunch.
I work an extra hour again today, so I'm leaving at lunchtime tomorrow, come what may.
I've had a word at work about Katy's plans to stay on, I was thanked for the warning.
I also had 2 pieces of good news today, DGD has gained 6 ozs with the new style of feeding & DSIL gained his promotion in the Army.
I've just brought in the washing I left out this morning as it's nearly dry & tea is HM chicken Kiev.
Have a good evening everyone
Hugs Hester

afternoon all,
Lots of lovely new people today, hello to you all :T
Kathy, we are off to Devon tomorrow for a week in a beautiful converted barn, the pictures look fantastic, we are hoping to get to the eden project while we are down there, it will be nice just to have a rest from the usual tbh, and oh wants to do a lot more cooking, I do 90% of it at the moment as I get in from work first, so that will be great.
Not sure if we can get on internet down there, but might take laptop just in case. So I might be MIA for a week
Pork steaks and oven chips are in the oven, just going to have a hot bath, done most of the packing, just need to sort out some food bits to take, then thats it.
On Saturday night I plan to open a bottle of red and sit in front of the log burner and eat a nice steak which OH has cooked, watching Dr Who :T
Smokey thanks for posting last night, come back as and when you can xx0 -
Well then,
Still not got near the computer today - DH reckons his big project will take him another few days. He has found out he is going to be paid a retainer for having done all the initial work and then something for every time he updates the report so I cannot complain.
We had a fantastic time at the Zoo yesterday. Weather was fabulous, boys were fabulous and DGS2 said he had a wonderful third birthday. I had to have a nod when we got home in the afternoon - Edinburgh Zoo is all uphill until you start walking back down and the queue for the trailer bus so so big we decided to leg it!
Had a fairly quiet morning, then out for shopping at lunchtime. Lidl's fresh veg, salad stuff a bit disappointing. I don't think we get our delivery until about 4.00 pm.
Spent the afternoon happily [strike]massacaring[/strike] pruning hydrangea/ fushchia bushes and doing a bit of a tidy up of leaves. Didn't turn the borders over as the young cat over the road will just come back and use the garden as his personal loo! Managed to fill garden waste bin with clippings and will need to go over to the Gardening thread regarding pruning my patio roses. Lovely day weather wise but snow and cold forecast for the weekend!
Enjoyed my two weeks off - back to work next week but off to Spain early May - can't wait!
Hope everyone OK and there are not too many lurgies around. My eyes are still acting up so eyedrops in 3 times a day. Welcome to new folk.
Special mention to smoky and family. Think about you every day. Take care.
Love

well the essay has moved a little..not a lot..but I think I have made some progress. Up to 1200 words now...trying to get to 2000 before bed.
don't know if anyone caught This Morning today...they did an item on slow cookers complete with some recipes...must check website for recipes. Were going on about how they are popular again. http://www.itv.com/Lifestyle/ThisMorning/Food/Fruitydesserts/default.html;)
done another pile of washing...nearly line dried. just brought it in and its still a bit damp so its having a quick tumble. I am ignoring the ironing pile.x x x0 -
I was so glad I had done stew in the slow cooker (special offer at Lidl's on Monday) when we got home yesterday. Just needed to prepare a few veg and that was it and it was very tasy!
