Good afternoon all, lovely day here in North Kent :j .Sun is shining and the sky is a patchy blue colour so I may get a quick washload done before we get the cold weather back at the week-end. <<hugs>> to all in need and big ;)s to the rest of you.
I had a great day out yesterday with my friend at Bluewater and apart from having lunch and the movies, I never bought anything at the shops ,although I did some serious window -shopping (far cheaper in the long run);) I even went into Lakeland and came out not having spent a penny I was tempted by a 2lb loaf tin but my friend talked me out of it .It was one of those bendy ones and at 14.99 she said it was too expensive .Thank goodness for friends like her as if I had been on my own I would have been tempted .
We went to see 'The Bank Job' and we both enjoyed it.came out and just had to have a coffee and a Krispy Kreme doughtnut after all the excitement of the film to calm us both down;) LOL well that was our excuse I just love the Boston Creme ones. She brought me home a new Jodi Picault book from the U.S. and some really bright bandana's bless her . I had a lie-in this morning as I had had a couple of really busy days and didn't get up until after 8.a.m. which is a long lie in for me as I'm usually up and about by 6 at least.
Going to have a bit of catch-up t.v. this afternoon . Not sure what I'll have for dinner tonight maybe something from the freezer i know there is a bit of salmon skulking around in there somewhere so that with some mash and veggies sounds about right.
have a good day everyone ,whats left of it anyway
    take care all

    Wish you would come back.

DH was bowled over by the lentil soup I made yesterday in the slow cooker-think I have finally convinced soup does not always have to be green.;)

DD is happy because I made her favourite fruit cake this morning and I have split yelow peas soaking for tomorrow. Will extend the soup making repertoire.

Want to knit a bit moreof another square later - started while watching "the apprentice" last night and nearly dropped a stitch in my disgust as to who got fired.

Won't say any more in case I spoil it for people who have not seen it.

Going to make an OS pot of tea now so see you later.

Busy weekend coming up so need to get as much housework done today as poss, as won;t have much time over weekend to do it.

Got a load of washing washed and out on the line, yoghurt maker loaded up and setting as we speak, cleaned kitched, washed up, hoovered house and now sitting down for a cuppa.

This afternoon I hope to, clean out fish tank, burn some new music CDs, sort some paperwork, tidy bedroom, wrap pressie for friend's bday tomorrow, do a bit of work on my youth award, book the car in for a service, aswell as other bits and bobs.

Right must get on, hugs to all

    Hi Everyone
I have decided to post on the thread. Hope you all don't mind an extra one.:p .
IAm trying to get to grips with this housework malarky. I am trying to be as OS as possible. You have given me lots of inspiration.:T . The WM has been on twice and its now outside as drying as I type. The BM has been on,yesterday the bread was slightly more holey than usual. I did take it out of the pan straight away. Couldn't wait:rolleyes: . Would this be the reason?
    Take Care all.

i totally agree with you on that one.

    welcome to the newest newbies:hello:

threatened rain didnt come so might move the washing out onto the rotary instead of under the extention
just had jacket pots beans and cheese for dinner, followed by a slice of weetabix cake.

i gave the inside of the fish tank a wipe out so that now looks much better, must do the filters tomorrow, and change some of the water as the gravel looks mucky

DS got some veg seeds and a cress growing hippo for his birthday yesterday got to soak the hippo overnight but start the seeds off with him in a bit, also got some fennel seeds so will plant a couple of trays up in the kitchen window.

youngest DD is babysitting tonight, and eldest DS is sleeping over at a friend so only a light tea tonight then hopefully a dvd and a glass of something with DH
