i'm trying again with hand made bread, the last lot was a disaster too flat and yeasty but it still got eaten.
so far so good i used my kenwood to knead it and its sitting on top of the fish tank at the mo proving (thanks to the person who posted that tip) its been there about an hour and so far is rising nicely.

blitzing the bathroom at the mo, i only came down because i heard the postman and got lured over to the puter.

    Hello everyone

been a busy day so far - had a specs appointment so drove DH to work, then home again to do DW and WM, fold the dry washing and get cleaning. Managed to pop on here and having a coffee. Trying to put up a new blind - the first one was dead easy and up and away in no time, but this second one doesn't want to 'pop' into the bracket quite the same. I will wait until OH come home I think!!!

hvaing my cuppa and watching Fern and Phil out one eye while catching up here with the other.

Can't believe how well the wooligans is going - might start on number 5 tonight :D

    Vicky A - I love the name rory :D

Hi all - just got back from the gym and they decided to tell us how many repetitions we should be doing on each piece of equipment. Needless to say, we have all been quite lazy and half-hearted about it up till now but, today, I really feel 'worked out' because the boss-lady kept her beady eyes on us the whole time! I do feel better for it, though, but didn't at the time!

DLB - I hope the LOs get better soon and well done to you and Mr DLB on the weightloss!

VICKYA - you must be so relieved about the MOT! I hate that dreaded day. My DH's car is due next month but I don't have that ordeal until September!

ASHLEA - welcome to you. You'll soon get to know us all even if we are as mad as a box of frogs most of the time!

MRSMIX - I'm so pleased your DH's lorry goes back on the road next week. It's been such a long time, hasn't it? My DH hasn't done any truck-driving for a couple of months now. The last time was a couple of days after Christmas and he was told he needed - by law - to get a digital tacho card, so £38 later, he's got one! British truckers will usually abide by the law but did you watch that programme the other day with Quentin Wilson about the foreign drivers and how many accidents they cause? Our Government won't do anything about making them conform. It's shocking.

Well, I suppose I'd better get a few more things done. I have to read the gas and electricity meters because my switch to Eon (after BG's horrendous charges and massive profits really made me mad enough to do something about it) has gone through. So far, my bills have gone from £62 and £65 each to £88.50 for both together so I hope they keep it up. I should also soon get the £30 bonus for switching to them. I also have to pay my BT bill. I completely forgot and they phoned me up and were quite snotty with me yesterday; tried to insist I pay over the phone but I was very stubborn and said I'll pay online today. If the girl had been polite, I would have paid over the phone but she got my back up. The phone bill only arrived a short while ago, anyway!

Anyway, off to get BT paid before they send in the bailiffs!

    See you all later.
