    Afternoon all,

Nice mild day here, even some sun...did a bit of pottering outside but so much to do it won't be noticed!

Hugs to Smoky, Anniestar and PenPin and anyone else in need or want.

    Welcome to newbies.

Hester....and you think that Katy would not expect your DS to share 'her' room....why???

Chicken tortillas and salad here for dinner, not in humour of spending too much time at cooker...there is soup if anyone wants more bulk. I am really just wanting to knit at present.

    Enjoy your evening all

    Hello all !

Bit late logging on today...............friends birthday so went out for lunch/shopping.
Had been sorting through Dads music stuff and chap called this morning and had some, another chap called this afternoon and took some more. I seem to be left with a lot of the music I played when I was little (In the days of being nimble fingered and able to tinkle the ivories -well a bit anyway............lol)
Ex foster lad call up as well...........lovely to see him and hopefully he'll come up tomorrow and do a bit of work in the garden.............needs doing and he could do with the extra cash.
Good day all told and though getting rid of dads stuff initially was a hard thing to do, knowing its gone to people who will treat it with respect has made me feel tons better about it.

Hope you''re having a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o )))))))))to those who need them

    Hello Everyone,
Hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine. I made the most of it and got my washing out on the line. I've also spent the day paying bills, and as a treat I took DS(4 1/2) on the bus to town, as we always walk normally. Because he is still slightly under the weather I think the walk would have been too much for his little legs.:D
We ended up going into Hereford Catherdral cafe which was lovely (for a treat), and he kept picking me daisies which was quite sweet. He did have it on him later however, so I was glad to get him home.
I got the sandpit out for him to play with, and made some salad with homemade coleslaw for tea. By the way, does anyone know how to get rid of fruit flies from a compost heap? I've got a large lidded compost bin, and the little bu**ers keep swarming out everytime I go to put something in:eek: . I try to keep the compost layered with paper and greens, but I'm at my wits end. Thanks on advance.

Anyhow, enjoy your evening. I'm off to Asda to see if I can get some bargins [strike]cream cakes[/strike]:D

    Evening All

Catowen - hope you get on ok when you see the GP
Hester - great news about DGD
    Hello All Newbies

Had a great day today, made even nicer by the weather.

First we did the London Bridge Experience - was good but glad I didnt pay proper money for it - DD was too scared to come down the tombs. Then we walked through Borough Market where Market Kitchen were filming - Bargain I would be seriously skint if I lived or worked near there. Only bought half a 'proper' pork pie - it was lovely.

Then we went into the Clink museum - very informative but quite small - cant believe that the first ever prison was for women!

Next we went on to The Britain at War museum which was my favourite - really enjoyed it.

We did have lunch out at Nandos which was very nice but we didnt buy anthing else so wasnt too expensive.

Am going for a lovely soak now - feet are hurting!

    Good evening.

Welcome to all of the new posters this week.

Been at work again today, and I've managed to book the cat into a cattery and us into a hotel on the edge of the New Forest. (least I hope I've done it that way :D )
Busy gathering some bits and pieces together to take, and printing off routes. Miss Twit is so looking forward to meeting BF again, loves young dream :rotfl: I've no idea what we are doing on Saturday, the kids are going to Thorp Park, but I don't think we will bother. The hotel has got internet access so no doubt Mr Twit will take his lappy and won't know he is away from home :D

Hester, I'm pleased DGD is starting to thrive.

    Hugs to those in need
    Love The Twit :grouphug:

(no Martyn today  I hope he hasn't tied himself up in string. )

so happy - my husband seems to have finally cracked the giving up of the fags! two weeks now. he hasn't been to the cashpoint since Sunday. He'd get a tenner/twenty pounds a day, buy one or two packets a day and fritter the rest of the cash. not to mention his health and no more disgusting smell. on the bad side, a drop of my coffee on the laptop means £65 repair as the t, y, backspace, capslock and left shift key no longer work! whoops! I have to add the missing bits using the onscreen keyboard and as a really fast typer it's driving me crazy!

    Evening everyone

Hope you all have had a good day. Hugs to everyone specially Smokey and anyone else who needs them. Just had a quick look through the posts to catch up.

Its been a busy day for me it started with going to the gym. Then went to meet a friend for lunch which was lovely. Nice to get away from family troubles for a while. Came back and went to see mum. It was so warm and lovely I took her outside the home and she sat and had her cig. She managed to say she was enjoying the fresh air. Then across to my DD for tea and hear her news. She had found a bargain in a local cheap store. Microfibre cloths (4) for 38p. They were in a odds and sodds basket out of the way being sold off. So bought enough for the neighbourhood I think. lol

I was going to have a wee blitz tonight but Im shattered. DD has a sore throat and cold so think Ive picked that up.

Enjoy the rest of the evening everyone.

Evening everyone - lovely to see so many newbies.

hugs to everyone whether you need one or not.

Left w*rk a bit early to pick up some patchwork bedspreads from aldi - left the bungies for the bike at home so got dd18 to rescue me with some string. She lives right by the shops. the best she could do was some green ribbon - got halfway down the road when the ribbon snapped shedding 3 king size and 1 single bedspread all over the shop. Luckily i was cycling on the pavement (naughty me) as it had looked a bit precarious and didn't want to risk the road. Anyhoo we all made it back safely more or less in one peice and the bedspreads are lovely.

Well that was the one and only bit of excitement for the day so I'll love and leave you for now
