Not bathing in the soup I hope?
I've been trying to catch up on the threads I subscribe too, everyone is so chatty - when I work all day it's hard to keep up.
FFMAMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0077 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board.0 -
where is everyone???
I'm here:D Just checking out other threads I subscribe to before settling on here for a good nosey:rolleyes:
OH's drill died over the weekend and he has a lot of jobs lined up so needed a new one. He went with one of oldies to BandQ (10% off day) and found a good one in sale reduced , then got 10% off at till so a £60ish drill ended up costing him £43.75. He is now a happy bunny again:D
More spends to add to total:rolleyes:0 -
Hi everyone, well I've spent and been good today....have been really stressed the last 2 evenings with DD, she's just turned 3 and I think I'm getting Terrible 3s rather than 2s as she was an angel until very recently
To combat the stress, I bought, on a friend's recommendation some lavender & something body/room spray from Boots (£6.79!!!!!- she swears by it, and has been known to raise her voice once or twice to her children, so I thought that if it's good enough for her.....
Let's just say I wish I could add vodka to it and swig it, although I now smell like a Provencal field, I'm still feeling wound up after this evening's battles with DD .
Spends-wise, I bought bread (reduced, of course, with me around, it doesn't last long!), the above-mentioned spray and a get well soon card for my grandad who is currently in hospital. I was shocked at the cost of cards and would have gone home to raid my cardbox at lunchtime but for the cost of petrol, so I had a happy half hour wandering around town seeking out the cheapest but not chavviest card. I got one for the staggering sum of 24p and it was really nice!! 75% off in Cardfair (not sure if they're a chain), woo hoo.
I feel that my cheap card and cheap(ish) bread kind of paid for part of the lavender spray and as my house is on the market, maybe the aroma will lure people into buying it and helping me downsize before my cheapy mortgage rate runs out at the end of the year as my mortgage will go way about £1k a month, gulp.
Do I scoop today's prize for the most frugal granddaughter? There must be one, surely, lol, maybe a Worther's Original or Extra Strong Mint :rotfl:
Mumzy - have you got space in your suitcases for 2 stowaways?
Sorry, I can't do short posts, wake up at the back, I've finished!0 -

We're off up to my parents' on Friday morning, bliss to have people to talk to and drink wine with in the evening (I'm divorced, work full time hours in 4 days, DD's shattered when I pick her up from nursery and suppose we're both tired and irritable in the evenings), hopefully have lie-ins and we're going to go to Bicester to buy DD some new shoes at the Clarks outlet shop. And, I'm going to torment myself by going to look at a house for sale in their village!!
I really must go and sort out my footer thing to show that I'm a member of the challenge and how much I've spent already in 3 days of being here, eeek.0 -
