    Hya Penny

stilton and broccoli soup never lasts long enough to make its way to the freezer, I really really really really love the stuff. (i have even eaten it cold.....but its ok, cos the folk on COME DINE WITH ME said Gordon Ramsay calls it amuse bouche!!!)

    Whats whoopsi???

Maybe you can freeze the cheese too , never froze Stilton but have froze Cheddar before
My stilton and broccoli never gets to freezer either ,(and i like it cold), although you can freeze cheese and cream without any problems  I'm still running through the stacks of cheeses i bought reduced after xmas with no difference to flavour from being frozen:D

:cheesy: Good morning everyone, everything is sunshine and light in the Kittikins household. I got £192 from Quidco this morning which will now pay for my spends for our holiday in the summer.

If you're not morally opposed to betting, may I suggest that everyone heads over to the Grabbit board and follows Martin's instructions on how to place a bet on the Grand National via Quidco/Topcashback and Betfair? Via Quidco, open an account, depositing £25, earn £30 cashback, place the bets totalling £25, then Betfair give you £25. Don't think I've explained it very well.....Martin does it far better :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway, I did it last night and have already withdrawn my "free" £25 from Betfair. So that's £55 coming to me in total.

Oh, and if the horse I picked wins, that's £275 on top, but I'm not exactly counting on that to fund my lifestyle, lol.

    Aiming for a NSD today.....

See you mumzy. Have a lovely time, be good, and come back and tell us all about it.

Good morning everybody. Hope you all have a lovely day.

Yet again, sending money abroad has cropped up in a mad panic. (Not more money; just the same that I wouldn't send a couple of weeks ago. Think OH and MIL can't face the reality of certain situations. Am trying to be unruffled. They are going thro a massive learning experience. it's not easy for them, and i do sympathise. MIL is threatening to go back home, but it's just a panicky reaction that will do absolutely no long term good whatsoever. Hmmm. We'll just see what today brings. Must stay calm, work hard and remain in control.

    See you later.

Stick to your guns Whitey. You have been very good and I'm sure that if you give in now, then that will set a standard for the future, and the 'need to send money home' will be on the cards every now and then, if not more. I know from experience...coming from a 'half' ethnic background.;)
As for MIL going back...I think as I'm sure you do, thats just to make you feel a bit bad about your decision. Be strong, and remember....we teach people how to treat us....you have to lie down for someonw to walk over you!

    Good luck chuck!:D

Hi, I'd love to join in if it's still possible? I'd be looking to manage on £3k from 1st April to 31st December, making it an average of £4k a year. Is that ok?

    Things I won't count:
    1) Rent
    2) Council tax
    3) Water (included in rent anyway)
    4) Buses to work

Everything else should come from the £3k. Examples include: Food, bills (not water), household stuff, toiletries, alcohol, tv license, holiday, travel (not including commuting), snacks meals and drinks bought on the go, nightsout cinema themeparks etc, birthdays, christmas, clothing, medicine, dentist, and any other little bits I can't think of right now...

I think that taking the car off the road means this might actually be doable, no chance if I was still driving lol!

I'd like to join as I'm trying to save as much as possible towards a deposit on a house :) If I buy a house during the course of the year I won't be counting the associated costs in my £3k (solicitor, mortgage arrangement, removals, insurance etc).
