RAC have just sent me a renewal notice for a 'bargain' £146 - this is with the NCB and also with a reduction for paying by DD. Their site is offering the same cover cheaper for new members! So much for my NCB!

...anyway, I can get it a lot cheaper from AutoAid so RAC can get st*ffed...just wish I'd known this before...'Whatever you dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin now.' Goethe

You tell them, Redglass! :T
I am in complete agreement with anyone who stands up for the right to be treated fairly in all money matters and am getting fed up with the way existing customers get cast aside in favour of new ones. Yes, by all means encourage more business, but don't forget it's those loyal customers that are footing the bill for introductory offers. (But I'll still switch aconts for a decent cashback and make the most of it until that particular balloon bursts)
I still haven't listed on eBay! I have spent all my spare time reading forums on MSE and have clean forgotten to cook dinner! Had to rush down and stick a pot of rice in the microwave, so it'll need to be sweet & sour made from the chicken leftovers that were destined for the soup! :rotfl: Has anyone ever made carrot and coriander soup using chicken stock?I reserve the right not to spend.

Now I remember why I ended up on the gypsy caravan page - I was thinking caravans and came across the holiday site. Something like that would be a great restoration project, don't you think? OK, so it's a bit far fetched to do on a budget of zilch, but if something similar was available on a much smaller scale then I'd risk buying the 'fixy up' and then reselling it when completed.
How is the little caravan in Devon doing? Must go back to re-read part one as I have forgotten who has the caravan on the plot. I remember Devon, pink ceiling, fruit trees being planted and it was around about the same time as discussing the soap nuts, because a soapnut tree was mentioned. I really need to improve my memory!I reserve the right not to spend.

I'd love a little mouse to nurse
When I was a kid we used to go to a petting zoo that always had mice, and mum always had to check that I hadn't tried to adopt any
I've had a completely unproductive day today. Just been wallowing. At least I didn't spend any money :rotfl:0 -
hello fruggletons,
i got a free lunch today at a fancy hotel :j
and i saved a few pennies by buying apple flavour toothpaste rather than mint flavour - i just gave it a test run, i quite like it, its a bit like having a sweetie
im gonna try to magic up some money for the interest beater challenge too - is £260 a years worth of ISA interest? i think i will aim for that for now and see how it goes... i have been doing a wee bit of 'wheeling' but i havent managed the 'dealing' part yetThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. apple flavour toothpaste? where did you get that jumble-bee? I don't like peppermint, so I have to make sure I get something which is spearmint, but apple would be a good thing to try!
re: the ISA interest, I've got £3000 just coming to the end of its first year and I have it at 6% and I think I'll get about £180 or so."Stay Wonky":D

Hi Jumble_Bee, I worked out £260 was 6.5% of £4000 over a year and made that my target. If we can do that before 31st December 2008 then we have beaten the ISA interest, because it's over 12 months and we have only 9.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the list of free bingo sites again, please? I started reading it, thought I had saved it, but now can't find it.I reserve the right not to spend.

Nyk,
I will go through my odd ends folder in my hotmail and will list the sites I have used s far. Might not be able to do it untill tomorrow thou. But here is a link to a casino that gives you 50 free spins in slots. If you win anything you can use the winnngs to play elswhere in the casino. You need to waiver enough before you can withdraw and the best bit is that even then no deposit required. I played and every now and again went check to the casino bank if I could withdraw and by the time I was able to I was up to £90.-. Not bad.
