As you've actually paid for the minutes and texts - as in gas and electricity supply - I wonder if it is legal for them to delete unused supply at the end of the month?
I'd like to see someone test this in court!
Be my guest :rolleyes:0 -
Have to admit that I've very rarely gone over the 300/300, and only on minutes as I don't text a lot - so I guess I'm one of the ones to blame for VM's change of heart.
Have to say though that when I got the notification txt I was pretty angry, that's no way to treat the customers who pay their wages, so I can understand those of you who use the service being annoyed. Retentions is certainly the place to go if you want to complain but as someone pointed out, it's unlikely they're going to change their minds for a few customers. That's business, I'm afraid..0 -
1100 minutes or texts for £20 a month or just over £14 following the advice in the link
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=514486&page=7:money:
I can then cancel my sim broadband and landline and go to Plusnet for £9.99 broadband.
Minutes do not rollover but getting nearly 4x my virgin number this wont matter and a free phone!
Been with NTL/Virgin for 9 years plus and this is the final straw:mad: !0 -

Hi
Does that mean that if someone recommended me I could take up this offer. How would I find out more details?
Currently with 3 and contract ends today. Phoned to cancel and was offered 300 mins or text mix n match package, £15 pm on 18 months contract. Comes with a new Nokia 6120 phone and 2 yr warranty.
Don't want to lock myself in to the 18 months.0 -

I was in the same position as you. I phoned up Virgin and verified this. My friend is going to get his account details so I can take advantage of this offer. Make sure you get your PAC code of the three network (unless its too late). You might need to get your phone unblocked so that your sim card works with your 3 phone.0 -
What are these people like? Having told us they're reducing the service but not the cost, I have today received a txt from them suggesting I tell my friends and family about their £10 deal  . Having trouble keeping customers are you, VM? Tough, but don't expect me to be a free salesperson for your 'services'.
I've phoned them and told them (very politely of course) exactly what I think!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR :mad:0 -
I am more than happy with this deal, even with the new conditions.
I was recommended by a member of this site and I am sure if anyone wants the deal and isn't a Virgin Media customer, with a little searching on this site they will find someone willing to help them. I cannot recommend anyone because I am not a Virgin Media customer.

Has nobody out there got their 'new' letter from Virgin Media about the £2.50 increase in price from 1st June 2008 ??? I contacted the customer services and they had no idea what I was talking about and gave me x 3 separate figures that I could eventually be paying monthly !! ranging from £1 extra to £7.50 extra due to the three facilities I've got with them???0

I received the same text and have passed it on to both my son and his girlfriend to make use of, they are currently both Virgin customers , she is currently on the new Liberty tariff of 300 texts/ 300 minutes for £15 so with my referral she's now gonna get the same texts and minutes for £10
my son was spending about £20 or more so he's gonna save a lot more
Don't see what the big issue is with no rollover?0 -
I've been on the £15 sim only deal + free ADSL for about 18 months but haven't received any such text off Virgin at all. Infact I hadn't even heard about this until reading this thread.
Will I lose my rollover too?0
