I imagine the likes of Ticketmaster will in the end get rid of them, I imagine plenty of their most loyal customers have complained and subsequently disappeared. As more and more customers rightfully choose to dump them as a direct result, they will one day realise it is costing them far more money, than they could ever hope to make from SD&R.
It will serve them right for thinking the customer is second best to a dodgy link.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I bought some tickets from Ticketmaster on Sunday and i unticked the box for Shopper Discounts but that was only because i know about the scam via work and here.
It really is a low way to get money from people!(c) Broke in Yorkshire. ( there are worse places )
Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter!0 -
Oh nooooooo! I just spotted this while I was looking at bank statmements on line - the furthest I could go back was to March 2009 - and they've been taking £10 per month  I'll have to look through paper statments to see if there are more.
I'm a single parent to two kiddos - so I can ill afford this, but reading this forum has reassured me I might get a discount - I hope it's a full one! I've no idea what website this happened on. I've emailed them, so maybe they'll tell me. If I don't hear back I'll ring next week.
I just googled shopperdiscounts.com and it led me here - so thank you, just goes to show how useful forums like this can be.:T0 -
Please be assured you can demand ALL your money back from them, however far back it goes, the best way to picture it, is that you have been putting £10 a week away for over 14 Months already, already a nice £140+ to go towards the kiddies holiday money
.
Be sure to demand a full refund (all money taken WILL be repaid - by law!)
It only takes two steps:
1-A phone call (2-3minute), confirm your email, name and address (and you'd like all your money back, as you didn't know that you signed up to this scam).
2-Posting of the claim form. (which they email to you as a result of the phone call):
Note: Your cancellation ref number is in the email they send with the claim form.

Just to say that I found that I had signed up when I requested cashback after a purchase at thetrainline.com - however when I phoned up they promised to refund the 2 monthly fees straight away. You need to phone 08082341539 and choose option 2 'membership number' - you can get your membership number from their website.
did you manage to get your money back? same thing has happened to me and has nearly pushed me over my overdraft limit so i am absolutely fuming, will ring in the morning to see if i have any luck getting the money back and nonetheless will give the unfortuante person who picks up the phone a piece of my mind!0 -
Recently paid £10 to shoppers discount. eventuually tracked through the spam folder to find I had been a member since December. I can only assume they may have given 3 months free first. I seem to have joined through a purchase from MandMdirect.com. I have canceled on the website. I will be checking next months bill very carefully0

Using the following number 08082341539 as quoted by davedanger (thank you!)
I called the above number and cancelled my 'membership'. I pressed option 3 and spoke to a human. I did not need to quote my membership number or my credit card, just my postcode. I have been promised 3 months refund also.
I was 'scammed' via the Ticketmaster website when ordering tickets for iceskating at the National History Museum.
Many thanks to everyone here for the helpful info.

It took 3 phone calls & a lot of checking of my bank account, but finally, I have all my monies back ! Thanks marleyboy! ♥
It came back, first payment straightaway, then a further 3 payments, then I was told any more than 3 had to be a seperate application! a bit of "gentle" persuading (shall we say!) resulted in my final credit today - yippee! I now have my £50 back - so result !thanks again guys ♥ Never again will I use Ticketmaster! Please be assured that you will get what your entitled to, that being a FULL REFUND (on top of the 4 month "courtesy" refund.) No matter how many payments you have already paid.
Be sure to demand a full refund (all money taken WILL be repaid - by law!)

Got my money back in less than 10 days
Here is the email I sent:
I have recently noticed a charge of £10 on my account and apparantly this is a membership to shoppers discount. I have never signed up to your website and believe this is a fraudulant charge as I do not require or have not ever requested membership. I would be grateful if you would cancel this membership with immediate effect and refund the two payments taken (January and December). I do not have a membership number and have no idea how you got my details
I would be grateful if you would contact me immediately with confirmation of my above requests.
This is the address:
