  • Mine was with ryanair.com has anyone used the cashback discount on next purchase & then cancelled the shopper discount with success (using £15 cashback without paying membership)?

I am thinking of getting all pizza hut customers scammed by SD&R to sign a petition to Jens Hofma CEO of pizza hut UK.
I think thats an excellent idea, be sure to add my name to the list, (even though I am not a victim). ;),

If Pizza Hut have got to reading this thread, I think it in your own best interest to listen to your customers, this is just one thread of many disgruntled and EX Pizza Hut customers that this "promotion" has cost you already (Google it if you need convincing evidence).

Ultimately, this "knock on effect" will cost you a lot more in the end, than you could ever hope to gain by promoting it.

(I hear Dominos Pizza said "NO" to them, gaining them good recognition) ;)

This was featured briefly on Radio 4's Moneybox on 13 March (dunno whether it is still available as a podcast). Apparently the OFT (or whoever) are investigating this & similar schemes. In the mean time, Shoppers Discounts & Rewards have given a pledge to refund anyone who feels that they were not fully aware that they were signing up to anything.

From the clip I saw, it was clear that refunding those who discovered the discrepancy, against those who are still completely unaware of it, and these are the ones that are still adding up every day, this is netting them annual profits in excess of £10Million, imagine the interest earned from that alone. Any refund, is just loose change to them.

They still refuse to acknowledge how many of their customers have demanded a refund.

Its the perfect scam for them, its a win-win situation for them whatever they do, paying those off to ensure no court gets involved is the easy bit, using just the interest they have earned from it, whilst still milking a profit out of the profits. Until something is done to stop this criminal act once and for all, they can only grow and grow by making more and more out of it.

Please be assured that you will get what your entitled to, that being a FULL REFUND (on top of the 4 month "courtesy" refund.) No matter how many payments you have already paid ;).

Be sure to demand a full refund (all money taken WILL be repaid - by law!)

    It only takes two steps:

1-A phone call (2-3minute), confirm your email, name and address (and you'd like all your money back, as you didn't know that you signed up to this scam).

2-Posting of the claim form. (which they email to you as a result of the phone call):

Note: Your cancellation ref number is in the email they send with the claim form.

Do you think that's sufficient? It seems sh*ttily inadequate to me as an admission of responsibility. Peeps, stop buying via Ticketmaster.

If TicketMaster had any decency about them or a strong commitment to customer wellbeing, they'd break all links with this shady practice. How appalling that they continue to put making a bit of extra dosh ahead of ethics and good customer service.
