I'm surprised, I didn't know Interflora were a sh*t company. I've ordered with them many times before: obviously, never ever again.

Well I have received my full refund from Shoppers Discounts & Rewards. I have also received two emails from them apologising for the situation. I received an apology from Martin Child Managing Director of SD&R.

I received an apology from Pizza Hut, which I am not to happy with, so I have sent the below letter:

Mr. Clinton Groome
C/o Mr. Jens Hofma CEO
Pizza Hut (UK) Limited
Customer Services Department
PO Box 57979
London
W4 9AR

19 March 2010

Dear Mr Groome,

RE: Your Reference XXXXXXX – ‘Shoppers Discounts & Rewards’

Thank you for your reply of 4th March.

Following my previous letter dated 3rd March, I have since written to the ICO, Barclays Bank and Trading Standards withdrawing my complaints.

After receiving letters from both ‘Shoppers Discounts & Rewards’ and Pizza Hut, I agree I agreed to my personal details being transferred from Pizza Hut to ‘Shoppers Discounts & Rewards’, however stupidly. Although I make this statement, be assured when I agreed to the promotion I was unaware I was agreeing to participate in a monthly membership programme and for my details to be digitally transferred to SD&R.

I would also like to thank Mr. Hofma for participating in my concerns, it has demonstrated customer service is important at the highest level.

Please allow me to point you in the direction of ‘Money Saving Expert’ forum regarding Web loyalty – SD&R.

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=819869

Where I count 136 complaints (increasing daily) of unhappy customers against Pizza Hut’s endorsement of SD&R. I believe this shows a growing trend that regular online Pizza Hut customers feel cheated and angry you happily exploit people’s naivety to agree to a ‘fantastic offer’ without reading the small print and really understanding what they are effectively signing up for. A brilliant quote by David Smith, Deputy Information Commissioner “It’s not about complying with the law it’s about making sure your customers know what’s happening with their information” sum’s up the general feeling.

The Internet offers excellent Cash Back and loyalty schemes, which are completely free to join and offers rewards in line with SD&R. Two instant differences would be ‘Price Protection’ and ‘Extended Warranty’. I think you would agree these benefits are laughable when a simple search on a few money comparison sites would find you the best possible price and most products priced over a certain threshold include 10 years to lifetime guarantee’s / warrantees.

Across the internet (and the pond) there are hundreds of news articles and media press releases reporting on Pizza Hut’s involvement with SD&R and the bad practices involved with the process of transfer of personal details and the profit gains. I would be happy to pass links from the Daily Mail and The Guardian amongst many others if these are of interest to you.

You may be unaware large companies and organisations, which once endorsed SD&R, have since ceased their partnership due to customer outrage. Some names include Debenhams, B&Q and Photobox.

I am sure the majority of written complaints received by Pizza Hut are linked to SD&R over service and quality complaints. I believe a simple online customer service questionnaire would prove my concerns are largely agreed with.

You quoted “Once again we do apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope that your experience will not deter you using our services in the future”. I feel you have totally ignored my statement of “Please be assured I will never purchase from your Internet site or outlets again and will do all within my power to promote the type of scam you happily promote and profit from.

While Pizza Hut associate themselves with SD&R, I will stick to my statement however, should Pizza Hut cease trading with SD&R or at least put the question to your online customer base, I would happily return and believe many others would follow, who would readily promote the Good News. Please do not be fooled by the returns you receive from Webloyalty. I am sure they do not share the information of how many refunds and the amount of each they return to unhappy so called ‘customers’.

I would tend to agree that the customer is not always right, however on this occasion there are hundreds if not thousands of us in the UK alone who I believe are. I would appreciate the points and comments I have made in this letter are taken in to consideration.

Yours truly,

If Pizza Hut has done you, email Jens Hofma CEO (UK) at jens.hofma@pizzahut.co.uk He has acknowledged my first letter and I hope he does to the above letter. I am sure if he receives enough emails from unhappy customers he may do something.

Will keep you updated.

Don’t give up!!

Good Luck.

I have had 4 Shoppers Discounts & Rewards "membership fee" payments of £10 taken from my bank account - as I've changed various direct debits & my bank account recently, this unknowingly left my account until a colleague alerted me as she too had been scammed.
I've immediately cancelled (from an email I received in March), this too allowed me to reclaim March's £10 - but what about the other 4 payments??!!
I KNOW this is resulting from a pop up which occurred from when I purchased tickets via Ticketmaster on 27th Oct for a Xmas gift! I believed at the time I may save extra money on those tickets by signing up for this. Some saving - NOT! My husband had been out of work for 10 months - it was money I can ill-afford to lose!
Any advice on reclaiming it would be much appreciated by myself (& my colleague).

Just an update - many moons ago I too was caught by Shopper Discount and came on here - I had the refund of 4 months, despite it being there for over a year (*shame/blush*), but at least it was stopped. Four months later on, I discover that another set of payments had been taken, from my OH's account. He'd made the same mistake. I reclaimed the standard 4 months and shall never press a "save money here" popup/box again!

So, yes, they do repay if you ask. Yes, you only get 4 months' "courtesy" refund. Yes, clicking ANYTHING vaguely "money off later purchases"/"money off" boxes/popups/offers on

VISTAPRINT
NATIONAL EXPRESS COACHES

seems to enrol you in Shopper Discount automatically.

Best of luck.
If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D
• Hi all,

I have just discovered the £10 transaction on my bill going back to January, I found this thread, phoned and cancelled their "service" and got a refund (well they have said they will refund me).

Turns out it was when I ordered from Pizzahut just before Xmas, and I can remember what happened because it had never happened before when ordering from Pizzahut. I had paid for my order and verified the transaction using the Visa verisign thingy, then a window popped up offering me a discount on my next purchase from Pizzahut, and it looked like an offer from pizzahut themselves so I clicked on the button that said something like "claim your voucher" it changed to a window with a voucher that I had to print and seeing as I dont have a printer at home I just tutted and closed the window.
I have been shopping on the internet for about 10 years with no previous problems and I work in IT and consider myself to be an advanced and experienced net user, I would swear on my childrens lives in a court of law that I did not re-enter either my email address or any part of my card details to subscribe to this "service". From reading this thread It seems I am not the only one with no recollection of re-entering any details...... something stinks and something needs to be done about it.

Please be assured that you will get what your entitled to, that being a FULL REFUND (on top of the 4 month "courtesy" refund.) No matter how many payments you have already paid ;).

Be sure to demand a full refund (all money taken WILL be repaid - by law!)

It only takes two steps:

1-A phone call (2-3minute), confirm your email, name and address (and you'd like all your money back, as you didn't know that you signed up to this scam).

2-Posting of the claim form. (which they email to you as a result of the phone call):
This notice confirms that your Membership in Shopper Discounts & Rewards has been cancelled as of **/**/****.

Your cancel confirmation number is: 2484####.

Note: Your cancellation ref number is in the email they send with the claim form.

I am thinking of getting all pizza hut customers scammed by SD&R to sign a petition to Jens Hofma CEO of pizza hut UK. Depending on the reply I get (posted #759, which I will keep you updated on) I will go ahead and do this. Let me know if you would be interested in a joint letter to them.

Even if you don’t want to do this, write to Jens of pizza hut (email address in post #759) and make some noise.

Good Luck

(note to new users, read post's from marleyboy (total legend) to see how to reclaim your money, also for a slight insight in to how these cowboys operate)

I'll be up for that.

In the confirmation of cancellation email they sent me there was a link to provide "feedback" on their "service" which I most certainly did
