[TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] "Shopper Discount & Rewards"

I checked my credit card statement today and phoned them up to check what the "Web Loyalty" of £10.00 a month was. They told me to google web loyalty and cancel my membership. That was all they would say. So I did as instructed and it appears having bought tickets from ticketmaster I too have been swindled into this shoppers discount fiasco!!!! I noticed everyone else's comments regarding this sham and I phoned them up. They have agreed to refund 3 of my charges directly to my card and have sent me an additional refund request form which I have to fill in and send to them. Please please please keep this link going so that numpties like me who sometimes just flick over their credit card statements don;t get caught out. Thankfully, because of this website, I should get my £50 back!!!!:T0

Believe me, your not a numptie, just see how many people in this forum alone have fell for it, and this is only one forum of many out there all saying likewise. This thread will remain on the first page of any google search about them, not only as a warning to others, but to ensure people like you get a complete refund, as is your entitlement.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Marleyboy, I’ve got to say thank you. What you wrote back to me has made me completely change my mind on this whole situation.
I am more angry with Pizza Hut now I know they do not thoroughly check out companies who they partner themselves with. I have copied my first email to Pizza Hut below, I am still waiting for a reply.
Dear Sir / Madam,
RE: Website Order – Shopper Discounts & Rewards
I placed a home delivery order through the Pizza Hut website on Sunday 3rd January 2010. After completion I was offered £10 cash back, to be redeem off my current purchase. As this was offered upon completion of my order, I was of the understanding this was a Pizza Hut promotion. I completed what I thought was an agreement with Pizza Hut and left the site.
To my complete amazement I have been directed to you due to an unknown transaction on my debit card of £10 from ‘Shopper Discounts & Rewards’. It turns out that the offer, which I must admit I had totally forgotten about nor did I receive my ‘claimed £10 cash back’ was due to an affiliate of your website.
It is now obvious to me now after doing some research, being Money Saving Expert, I have found thousands of dissatisfied customers who this has happened to. May I point you in the direction of the forum: (I am unable to post the link as I am a new user, but it was the MSE link here)
When allowing a company to store your information such as home address and bank / debit card details, you do this with trust. I am sure, should I have agreed to you storing my details, I would not be doing so if I thought my information would be passed to a third party. I agree that my mistake may have been not reading the full terms and conditions of the promotion I was entering in to, however I am very careful when agreeing to anything I commit to on the internet and I never knowingly allowed Shopper Discounts & Rewards to obtain my personal information from yourselves.
A copy of this letter along with an individual letter will be sent to the following organisations for the reason explained.- The Information Commissioner’s Office – Pizza Hut providing a 3rd party with personal information with out my knowing consent
- Trading Standards – Shopper Discounts & Rewards fraudulently requesting funds from my debit card with out prior permission
I consider myself to be a regular customer to both your outlets and home delivery service and am so disheartened that such a trusted company I have used since childhood which I completely trusted would partner such a company to benefit pure profit alone. Please be assured I will never purchase from your Internet site or outlets again and will do all within my power to promote the type of scam you happily promote and profit from.
May I also point out that a company such as your own should have the resources to accommodate an email address for concerns, questions and suggestions. It’s hard to believe in this day and age a process, which should have a turn around of 2 to 3 days, will take over a week for an initial reply.
I look forward to your quick response.
Yours truly,
After everything I have read from your thread, I will now go all out, to find out which laws both Pizza Hut and SD&R have broken and take strong action.
I will post my next letter as soon as I receive my first reply from Pizza Hut.

Photobox have terminated \SD&R check update here http://blog.photobox.co.uk/shopper-discount-rewards-updateSince our last post on this matter they have made their registration page clearer but as the negative feedback from you has kept coming, we knew you wanted us to take further action.
This means that as of now you’ll no longer see any mention of Shopper Discount & Rewards after placing an order with us. We hope this shows you how much we appreciate hearing your feedback on the blog and make every effort to keep you, our loyal customers, happy.
Regards
Well done photobox, officially off the list of shame:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Since looking in to this more (well on a mission here) would I be right in saying Pizza Hut/Shoppers Discounts & Rewards have broken the following law relating to the Data Protection Act 1998?
Part 6, Section 55 ‘Unlawful obtaining etc. of personal data’, subsection 1 (a,b), 4, 5 (a,b) and 6.
The Full artical can be read here:

If Pizza Hut are guilty of anything, its that they have not checked up on this thoroughly enough, and should at least listen to their regular customers,
To do so willingly and knowingly, whatever legal commitments Pizza Hut have to do with SD&R, by simply condoling it and promoting them, can only be the fault Pizza Hut. especially considering what their unwilling and oblivious customers responses will be to it, costing Pizza Hut a lot more than their legal responsibility towards SD&R.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2010/feb/13/shopper-discounts-and-rewardsUsers of websites belonging to several big-name companies – including Ticketmaster, Pizza Hut, Ryanair and TheTrainline.com – have complained that they are being charged £10 a month membership fees after unwittingly signing up with a company called Shopper Discounts & Rewards.
http://www.talktalk.co.uk/money/guardian/news/2010/02/13/shopper-discounts-amp-rewards-could-cost-you-dear.htmlShopper Rewards appears to have adopted a no-quibble refunds policy, but it is clear many of its "members" aren't aware of what's happened, not least because the firm's emails appear prone to being held in spam filters. It admits that some of its vouchers do carry the logo of the partner retailer

I use TCB for my cashback, and I can't understand why people use other paid or lower rate sites, doesn't make them scams.
It's just a cashback site, one you have to pay for, but still just a cashback site.
I saw it yesterday, and out of curiosity to see if it had changed since the last time I had a look I clicked it open.
I'm fearless. :rotfl:
It had a box for my card details, my personal details (address, email, name, the usual) and it outlined the exact service and the exact cost.
I'll let you know if I get charged, but I doubt it.
Oh, and it wasn't any on the list in post #727 but I don't really want to name and shame since I'm more than aware of the power of MSE.
Once the goods have turned up and checked out okay I'll forward the thread onto them though, as there's obviously a boycott thing going on, and they don't really deserve to get caught up in that. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -
Whether or not they deserve it,will be solely down to how they practice in future, whether or not people willingly and knowingly sign up, if they have their bank details (at hand) to sign up, or if they merely (get) signed up.
Its not looking good for them from where I am standing:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
