It only takes two steps:
1-A phone call (2-3minute), confirm your email, name and address (and you'd like all your money back, as you didn't know that you signed up to this scam).
2-Posting of the claim form below. (which they email to you as a result of the phone call):

I have also been scammed by shoppers dicounts and rewards from booking a flight through ebookers. Luckily cancelling was pretty simple. Just email customerservice@shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk, demand that they cancel your alleged subscription and issue a refund of all monies taken from your account.0

I was also stung by this, my auto fill program filled in the boxes and as i realised something was wrong i tried getting straight out of it, it took me 2 months before i realised i had paid them twice but luckily after a call they gave me my money back , I then closed my credit card just in case they tried to take any more, I think it was when i bought a gift for someone from allposters
ps..someone posted a handy tip the other day, just tell your credit card company what has happened and they will issue you a new number and card , this should also stop them taking any more money0 -
I purchased on my credit card a flight for my daughter from ebookers.com, it has just come to my notice I have had £10 per month withdrawn from my credit card by a company called shoppersdiscount.co.uk
I think it is disgusting and wonder why our credit card companies do not protect us from such scammers
I telephoned my credit card company who told me they are aware of the company
Then why dont they do something about it, like print on our statement, they are aware of this particular company
A very upset poodle here0 -
I got gaught by this crowd too for £130, over 13 months, can someone draw up a list of companies that are in partnership with this so called benefits membership club
I got caught after using ebookers website
all I can say is report this site to your security people
I now use anti vir Avira security and they have blocked access to ebookers0 -
Apart from being scammed I am very suspicious of the fact that Mastercard seem to have a hotline to SopperDisounts.
Is this because they have so many complaints or have they come to some sort of arrangement or have I just woken up with my cynical head on this morning.
Has anyone else had similar excperiences?

The bank that i work for gets lots of claims for Shopper discounts.
Unfortunately it is not fraud as the customer has willingly given their details not matter how unethically the company has got hold of them.
Shopper Discounts do send emails to whoever signs up. Actually quite a few.
They must get a lot of cancellations and they are usually quite good regarding refunds as long as the customer hasn't used the service.(c) Broke in Yorkshire. ( there are worse places )
Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter!0 -
It is not Fraud, it is however a SCAM! and a pretty disgusting one at that, of which this company (who regularly read this thread) are well aware. They rely on a "mispelled" site that automatically grabs a users bank details and forwards it onto them., where they happily dip in and "help themselves" to a victims account, on the hope that they remain undiscovered.
Sadly however, as MSE is one of the most popular sites in the Uk, with one of the largest forums in Europe, a quick "google" of "Shopperdiscounts" or "SDR" instantly puts this page at the 1st result page by Google, meaning this scam will be discovered quite quickly by "anyone" who does a quick search.
It only takes a few seconds to search this forum on how to claim a "refund" going back to day 1, such a member was "hoodwinked" into signing up to, thus the reason a refund is so readily available (strictly for legal reasons) - it helps prolong the life of this scam up until popular public demand, ensures it is tightly closed. (Imagine if cowboy jo, clocked how easy it was to gain someones bank details) - simply "passed on" unwittingly by a legit company, who in return assumes it was all done at the customers choice, rather than a deliberate "misspell" of a link to grab your bank details so flawlessly.
This is the very reason they claim customers "manually" and "knowingly" input their own bank details, should any "legit" company query a complaint. Whilst simultaniously telling a customer, they must have "misread" when clicking a link for a discount, as it automaticaly passes a customers bank details to a "dodgy" area, and they can access them from their whilst claiming innocence.
This is the very reason WHY customers have NO IDEA they have been signed up to it, AND THEY KNOW THIS! However they can make themselves appear to others, that it is the customer at fault NOT the company.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Thanks to all who have posted on here. The Myrewards scheme is barely legal and they know it; hence they are fairly quick to reply to requests to unregister. Send an email to customerservice@mytimerewards.co.uk ; you quote your customer number and say you read about them on moneysaving expert.com ; say you feel mislead and want your subscription back, credit card details deleted and membership cancelled. I said that if I receive a satisfactory reply I will take the matter no further.
To be fair to them they replied very quickly. Shame on "Thetrainline" and "ryanair" for pushing customers to this site.
Good luck.

I checked my online statement today and much to my disgust found that I had been charged by Shopperdiscounts and rewards. They posted a freephone number on my statement and it was my debit card not my credit card oddly enough!! I very rarely use my debit card for any purchases, certainly not substantial ones. I called and used their automated system to cancel the payments firstly. I then spoke to a customer service representative who tried to suggest that I knowingly entered my details when purchasing something from a certain site, I think Fragrance Direct was quoted. I then realised after terminating the call that I hadn't even used my details, it was my mum's credit card as it was a present being purchased from her to my dad!! I should have used that in my defence at the time to prove how ludicrous the suggestion was that, as a student, I would willingly pay £10 a month for absolutely nothing!!! Anyway, they agreed to refund the money and it was so straightforward after explaining the situation that I have no worries that they will charge me further. Although I do have to wait 10 working days for the refund... :j0
