PS, I just "researched" your topcashback recommendation, and frankly it doesnt stack up. Their claim to be the most generous cashback is frankly wrong ...
Currys ; SDR cashback = 10%, TCB cashback = 3.03%
Saving on my 3D TV = £79.08 at SDR vs £23.96 if via TOPCASHBACK
Lookfantastic.com ; SDR cashback = 10%, TCB cashback = 5.05%
Saving on wifes new GHD's = £8.49 at SDR vs £4.29 if via TOPCASHBACK
Saving total with SDR in one month = £79.08 + 8.49 - 10.00 member + 10.00 PIZZA HUT saving = £87.57
If via TOPCASHBACK saving would be £28.25
So, before you spout about "research capability" nongeographicalman, please do your own research!!!0 -

Does nobody read the small print??
At what point, when entering your card details do you NOT realise that you have to pay a fee?
Would you not think this strange for something that was free??
It is clear as day that there is a fee. I saw it. They email me every month. They tell me they are going to charge me.
Maybe they are not stealing, or defrauding you all. Maybe, just maybe, you made a mistake. Maybe you should have actaully read what you were sigining up for, instead of just blindly entering in your details.
If this was mail through your door, would you so willingly give over your details without reading what it was about first?
I have to agree, I think a lot of people are just griping after they have signed up for something they maybe havent read properly.
Oh, I also suspect there may be a little bit of crossed purposes also as it seems as though maybe several websites are being quoted here, and maybe some of them are scammers, the one in particular that I am defending, as I cannot see they have done anything wrong, and all their sign up pages quote their fee's and terms in full is "ShopperDiscountsandRewards" which is part of "WebLoyalty"
hope this helps clear up any mistaken identity0 -

I was talking about Shopper Discounts & Rewards.
It is not a scam. It is not fraud. It is not theft.
It is refreshing to see someone else actually ackowledge this too.0 -
Shopper Discounts were exposed as a SCAM a long time ago, you are certainly entitled to have your opinion on the matter, but it really is old news that you must have missed.
Such evidential reports more likely still exist in this very thread, however its quite clear that by being such a new member, like so many other newbies who pop up occasionally in this thread, with the same kind of spiel; you have not actually read the thread, else you would simply already know its old news.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Exposed as a SCAM you say? I am sure you have a good grasp of the english language, so when you sign up for their "scam" did you deliberately ignore all the information about monthly charges when you willfully handed over your card details? Or did Shopper Discounts reach into your pocket and steal your card details as well???
Wow, if they did, I want a piece of that magic software they are using myself....or maybe people should just READ the terms and conditions first....just a maybe, but for READING the t&cs consider it RESEARCH well done.0 -
Hi guys,
so, i have now found out that firstrewards have been taking £14.95 from my account everymonth since November 2010!! Yes, i know i shoul dhave chaecked my account, but what is done is done, and a lesson has been learrned!:o
So, i phoned them, told then i wanted to conacel and that i wasnt happy at all. Got the details for making a complaint, but was told by the operator that i wouldnt get my money back. She did agree to eamil me the screenshot of when i apparently signed up to their monthly subscription...but we'll wait and see if it appears!
So i phoned my bank (natwest) and asked them if there was anything they could do. I spoke to the Fraud team who put me through to the Visa Dispute line.
Visa dispute person told me they are very aware of this company (and others like it), and that they will send me a form to fill in so that Visa can raise a dispute claim (and i will include the screenshot if it appears).
He said i was more likely than not to get all of the money back (£164.45) through doing it this way.
EDIT: and firstrewards said it was via 'The Hut' that i signed up to their membeship..might not be shopping there again!0 -

So famous is this SCAM being so regularly reported by so many sources (the ones you obviously missed in your ignorance), that even WIKI has mentioned them. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shopper Discounts & Rewards is a UK company based in Kent, England. Its parent company Webloyalty is based in the United States.
Shopper Discounts & Rewards describes itself as "a premier online savings service operated by webloyalty". However, various sources including the US Senate, [1] international newspapers, [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] and money advise websites [8] [9] have described its business practices using terms such as scam, robbery and theft.
I would say do your own research, but its quite obvious to me you are completely incapable of doing so.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Dont know if this has been mentioned before, but we had bookings at Premier Inns earlier this year, if you made a second booking within a month you got a refund of £15. If you made a third booking you got a further £10 refund. All I did was claim if back, but I now wonder if this was the start of the Shoppersdiscount scam. So far I have only been charged £10 twice and I am in the process of claiming the money back. Anyone else had this with Premier ?0

Further to my message yesterday, I can now confirm that Premier Inns are also involved with the Shoppers Discount scam. When you book a room with Premier they offer £15 off if you make another booking within 30 days, to obtain this "discount" you click on to the appropriate slot. Then you are hooked to Shoppers Discount. So beware0
