i am adamant that i never ever ever knowingly filled in the forms they insist i had to fill in... i am almost sure that they have a means of extracting details, as i had to fill in bank details on the shop i was purchasing a product from which was:

I'm beginning to think they have more than one way of running the scam to try and make it hard for Trading Standards to prove what they are up to.

In my case I know that I did give my card details to them on the basis of FlyBe constantly going on about it enabling me to get £15 cash back on the flight. But I definitely knew I was giving card details to Rewards First and Credit Rating Matters. However some people seem adamant they never had any dealings with these companies at all.

The con in my case came in the form of never sending me any confirmatory emails with membership numbers thereby making it very hard to unsubscribe for free within 28 days before they took the first payment. They claim their membershp emails were detained by spam filtering software and were definitely send but I am pretty sure they are not telling the truth and never send out any of the emails. This is because their whole scam is reliant on people forgetting to cancel the non existent "service" that they were only conned in to signing up for by a cashback inducement from the introducing website.
  • Like many others, I was directed to this site after purchasing from Pizza Hut online, and was taken through their registration process. Since then, I have been bombarded with mobile text messages trying to encourage me to purchase lottery tickets which would cost me £6 per week. I have not responded nor replied to these messages.

At no time did I give this company my bank details, however I noticed today a debit from my bank account for £10 dated yesterday, and I had no memory of using my card. I sifted through my previous bank statements and to my horror, found out I've been paying this £10 every month since May! I wrote an angry e-mail, and since I had no reply, I telephoned a freephone customer service number and spoke to a representative. He assured me my membership was now cancelled, and he could only refund three months' payments directly, and would e-mail me a form to claim the other two months' money. I'm not holding my breath, and would like to hear if anyone else has actually received any refund. Also, I am concerned that my bank details have been given to this company without my consent or knowledge. The customer service representative appeared not to be surprised by my reaction, and readily agreed to refund my money.
  • Although they gave me a 15 pound cashback on the purchase of National Express tickets ... they were not very good at showing me they would take off 10 pounds a month for a subscription. I never filled in my credit card details on their site, they must have copied them from National Express. Luckily I noticed the 10 pound deduction (first month). If you can log into your shooperdiscounts.co.uk "account", you can delete your account and they said a refund would be given. Let's wait and see ...
  • My mum has just discovered that she has been done over by Shopper Discounts AND their parent company Web Loyalty who were both taking payments of £10 each per month. She cancelled her bank card as she was understandably nervous about these unknown payments as my own card got cloned last week. After speaking to her bank they said they couldn't cancelled the re-occurring direct debit as they didn't know who it was taking it!! I managed to get the contact details for Shopper Discounts for her and after contacting them they have agreed to cancel the subscription and refund her money. They seemed to be expecting the call as they were very pleasant and it was 'no questions asked' regarding a full refund (lets just see if she gets it!). I've told her to still report them to Trading Standards as they've probably got a very large case against them already. They obtained her details after she purchased items via the Marisota website. She signed up to the £15 off voucher believing it was through Marisota themselves so its very misleading. Needless to say she'll be more careful in future. I hope everyone else affected get their money back too :-)

have a read through first few pages and it tells you how to cancel,
  • Do none of you check your statements regularly?

Does nobody read the small print??

At what point, when entering your card details do you NOT realise that you have to pay a fee?

Would you not think this strange for something that was free??

It is clear as day that there is a fee. I saw it. They email me every month. They tell me they are going to charge me.

Maybe they are not stealing, or defrauding you all. Maybe, just maybe, you made a mistake. Maybe you should have actaully read what you were sigining up for, instead of just blindly entering in your details.

If this was mail through your door, would you so willingly give over your details without reading what it was about first?

I have read it, but its to do with a different company, not this one...or is it the same company just a different name?
  • You either work for them or you are a little lacking in research capability as anyone with half a brain would use instead and earn the same cashback without paying any of S D & Rs ripoff monthly membership fees.

ripoff membership fees? Didnt I just say "cost me nothing" ???

The membership fee of £10 per month has been offset every month vs purchases at pizza hut, so it has COST ME NOTHING!!! NADA, ZERO, ZIP, ZIPPLE, GEDDIT????

And no, I dont work for them.
