My son had the same thing with M & M Direct. He clicked a pop-up box offering £7.50 off next order, but did not enter any further details and just under a month later he has been charged £10.00. We phoned Shopperdiscount and asked for a refund and to cancel membership which they agreed to immediately, just need to watch to make sure it actually is refunded.
  • I have just noticed that there has been a £10 deduction from my account for the last 9 months for shoppingdiscount.co.uk. I spoke to a lady on the phone who explained that I joined when I booked a Ryan Air flight. Firstly i am deeply dis-appointed that I fell for it, and secondly I am utterly disgusted that Ryan Air partnered with this organisation to effectively rip me off.

Shoppers Discount have said they will take a look at a refund after I have completed a form, but I am just as angry with Ryan Air and it seems they will get away scott free.

    Any advices.

Am I the only one who isn't surprised at all by that.

I have just come across another online retailer that is only too happy to subject it's customers to this scam. So please note and avoid AppliancesDirect.co.uk.

This outfit is part of BuyItDirect.co.uk so I expect customers to all of their many online businesses are offered up for a fee to be ripped off by Shopping Discount and Rewards.

AppliancesDirect.co.uk & the rest of the BuyItDirect group have now been added to Expedia & Trainline etc on my register of NOT TO TRUSTED websites. The lowest of the low making money from ripping people off.

hi, i got this 'offer' with ticketmaster, i get a £15.00 voucher towards my next ticketmaster spend, i just have to remember to cancel the subscription within 30 days. (i have a pre payment card so at least they can't take money of me because i only put money on for shopping online).

i just joined and it looks really good! i am about to take 3 kids to london and buying the dr.who tickets was my first thing, i can get 10% cashback for my train tickets with traveline - thats £9.00 saved, we can watch a musical for £35. each instead of £62. (£120. saved), they are stall seats, so thats great! i am sure i will find lots more and i need school uniform for september, and there is 10% cash back for BHS, matalan etc.

i am not sure how long i will stay with this company but so far, i think it's fab!

i also recived £10 charges from both shopperdiscounts and mytimerewards. Luckily i caught this early and only 40 pounds was taken out of my account over a 2 month period so 10 pounds from each a month. When i contacted shopperdiscounts they told me that i had signed up after a purchace from premier man this was all news to me and i had no idea i was surpised to get staight through and speak to somebody immediateley and all in all was only on the line for about three minuets. I was told that both accounts would be deleted and i would have full use of them untill the end of the month but then i asked for a full refund and after she checked my claims that i had not made any use of the sites since they were created and not even logged in once she agreed to a refund but said that the sites will be stopped now and not at the end of the month no skin off my nose so all in all i am very happy with the result and hassel free cancellation although the proof is in the pudding as they say so will be checking next month that these accounds have indeed been deleted and that i have been refunded and i will get back to you with the news either way.
