Is it worth everyone on here trying to compile a list of all the vendors that this can happen thru? Can you find out which vendor it was when you ring up to cancel?

We've found it early only, with only 1 payment of £10 taken, gonna call this morning and get it refunded and cancelled

Does this sound ok for the email?

    Shopper Discounts & Rewards

I rang your customer services this morning as money has been taken out of my account without full authorisation

I was told on the phone these payments have stemmed from a purchase made to National Express

I would like my account to be fully cancelled, all details removed from your system and also all monies taken to be refunded

I know that you have to refund me my money by law

I have researched into your company and have found that you have scammed millions of people by unknowingly signing them up to your service!!

If my account is not cancelled and all monies returned within 28 days I will be taking legal action against you

Sorry for the pedantry, but I have removed some unnecessary points and words. It is important to remember not to get emotional regarding these things. If someone is reading a letter that could be construed as a personal dig, or accuses them of something that might not be true (even though we know that you are completely correct), they might not treat it as their highest priority. I wish you the best of luck and it does seem as though this sort of action tends to gain results. :)
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

Account cancelled and £20 refunded! Woop.
  • I have had about £150.00 taken from an account from a booking with Ebookers.
One phone call and 2 emails have resulted in a form on attachment which I must download, print off, stamp and post. I have said as they clearly have email and I have clearly stated in writing I did not knowingly join their club and want a full refund of all monies taken that I see no good reason why they should put me to further expense and inconvenience.
The response is simply telling me yet again to post the form and they will 'investigate' my claim and respond by 'email'.
I will complete the form and contact both Ebookers and OFT but wil also later send them an invoice for Administration costs.

I guess one thing that this kind of scam shouts at us.... check your accounts weekly! There's no reason why the company should even get a chance to take a second payment out. Everyone should check their bank statements every week/fortnight and query anything you do not recognise.

I'd hate to think of how many people buy something online, unknowingly sign up to this £10 a month scam and never check their statements...
  • I phoned again and the guy who answered the phone started saying he couldn't hear me and disconnected the call. The last email I sent them has come back as delivery failure.
I am now very much in doubt that I am going to get anything back as it looks like they are simply blocking any complaints or refund communications.

In response to pickledtink I can confirm our relationship with the ShopperDiscounts and Rewards programme came to an end in December last year.

As such it no longer appears on the site.

Are you going to assist all of the people getting their money back that they have been duped out of by this scam?
