Sony Ericsson W800i on O2 contract?

  • hey! i am after the w800i also! I've read through this form and been through so many sites to try and find the best deals on offer for this phone and i can safely say along with others that have looked recently on the o2 online deals " no way am i gonna pay £80 for the handset and then another £240 ( at £20 per month ) or £300 ( at £25 per month ) for the contract!
I haven't spoken to the upgrade phoneline yet ( 08706007102 ) which is the number customer services told me to phone but it was too late! I heard they want £50 to upgrade, but I don't want to stay on my current contract at £25 a month! I am keen to find out more about this discount 500 deal (@ £20pm is it?) with Anytime minutes instead of the offpeak minutes i have been used to!
    Plz reply soon! :D

I've got this phone on virgin. Excellent phone, I hope you all enjoy yours too. I've not put it down for the last week. One question though, anyone seen any decent covers for it that doesn't make it look too bulky?

Great phone. Or is it an MP3, or is it a camera, or is it a radio.

I tried a K750i cover but that does not work too well. In the end I bought a cheap camera pouch for £3 in Asda, this is big enough to hold the headphones and stuff too. not very classy but practical and protective for now.

  • nastymind, if you are currently on a £25 a month, if i were you i would call retentions/cancellations and tell them you have seen better offers at virgin/vodafone, be ready to quote the best prices, i thing its about £20 with free handset and say you called to find out how you would go about cancelling your contract, they will undoubtable try and keep you.

My latest update with o2 is that i got a sms saying dispatch is delayed by 3 days so i called to complain as i sat in for 3 days to receive delivery and they promptly offered 1 months free line rental, so that can't be bad can it?

I've got my phone after a couple of days delay. Seems I was lucky in ringing up when I did. :j

  • Last few weeks they have always said expected mid september. But I rang yesterday and they told me end of september (presumably cos it's almost mid sept!). This leads me to believe they are just guessing! How come it takes so long to bring stock in?? I reckon they are just trying to sell as many K750i as possible...they probably know that the sales of K750i will drop when the W800i comes in...
  • I thought people might want to know that SE W800i is in stock on the High Street tariff.

I just ordered one for £50 on my Leisure Time contracts :j
