Intimidating bullying Argumentative Buyer; I want to withdraw the Sale.

Hi All
Can you offer any advice. Sold 2 items ealier to same buyer, I haven't offered postage discount in any of my listings & my P&P Charges are not inflated.
She has Sent 3 emails within 30 mins of auction finish asking for revised invoice with discount, the 3rd actually telling me how to send an invoice. Obvioulsly I was not at my PC at this time.

I've eventually replied explaining I have't offered discount on my auctions for various reasons. I did not feel it necessary to detail them as she is an experienced ebayer with over 4000 feedback, not to mention hugely inflated P&P charges on her listings.

She has replied via my personal email with a lengthy bullying, Intimidating lecture, further requesting discount.

I can see my 2 items are heading for resale, they are what she is mostly selling & she has got them at such a bargain price which I do not begrudge, as that is how it goes, low starting price is a gamble. Re Selling them is also fine with me.

But I have taken offence to her squeeze for reduced P&P even after I had further informed her politely that the P&P is as originally stated.

I no longer want to sell to her and being negged is the least of my worries, I've plenty of positive feedback.

Can I report the last email as abuse or anything like that, is there any way of backing out of a sale under such circumstances.

Any constuctive advice very welcome please.

I don't really want a debate about whether or not I should offer discount. I have chosen not to for various.

Sorry for the long post.

Just keep replying calmly, stating the same thing in a polite and reasonable manner.

    Bullies soon get bored.

I actually want to cancel the sale, I don't want to sell to her, my question is how to go about it, sorry if it was a bit long winded in the original post.

IMO if she wanted a discount she should have asked before bidding and winning the auction. If you don't offer discounts you don't have to justify why not. Buyers shouldn't assume they are going to get something that hasn't been stated in the listing.

I don't know if you can get out of the transaction at all but I think that if you go through with it they could be the buyer from hell (like they aren't already :o )
I'd probably ignore her last message and when she doesn't pay up put in a NPB dispute.

Or you could respond by saying that you don't offer discounts...end of. If she would be so kind as to pay for the 2 items, you will despatch them as soon as possible. But like I said, I think she would then be the buyer from hell. Most likely claiming item not received or not as described etc etc

Good luck and sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

tell your buyer she has 7 days to pay the full amount stated in your invoice.if no payment is recieved (which probably will happen) open a non paying bidder dispute, you can close this saying you no longer want to communicate with the buyer and end the sale.this is the correct way to go about it.

    Hi

    Thanks for replies,

She is willing to pay, begrudingly, she wants the items they are a brilliant bargain and she knows it (P&P is 1/3 of what she charges for the same items).

BUT I don't want to sell to her now because she has infuriated me. I think she is a liability and the transaction will continue to be problematic. I'm certain she will neg me whether I sell them to her or not, I'd rather sell them for less on a second chance offer, I just do not want to deal with her at all.

So NPB is not an option, I have mailed her to say I have found her incredibly difficult and her lengthy bullying email was unnecessary and that the items are no longer for sale.

I Haven't had a reply (obviously very late now).

She will want to continue the sale, but I Don't

So I am asking for advice of what to do in the meantime whilst I wait for her response, the chances of a mutual sale withdrawal are extremely slim to none I'd say.

There is no way of withdrawing from the sale. All you can do is refuse to sell and expect non performing seller complaints and negatives.

But I think she can report you for not selling....but I don't know what the result of that is
    EDIT>>>JUST FOUND IT

    Seller Non-Performance

Sellers are expected to perform consistently in a manner that results in a high level of buyer satisfaction. If a seller’s interactions with buyers result in greater than a 5% level of buyer dissatisfaction, as evidenced by negative/neutral feedback and/or Item Not Received complaints received over the recent 90-day period, the seller is in breach of the Seller Non-Performance policy. Please note that although we are not including Detailed Seller Ratings at this time, we will be using them in the future
When a seller lists an item on eBay, and a buyer bids for and wins that item, the seller and buyer have entered into a contract that both members are expected to honour. If the seller doesn't live up to this agreement, it leads to a bad buyer experience and may result in negative or neutral feedback for the seller. Good practices that help sellers promote buyer satisfaction include:
    • Accurately describing the condition, size and quality of the item directly in the listing.
    • Honouring the original terms by accepting payment for an item at the end of a successful sale.
    • Promptly dispatching the item with appropriate packaging once payment has been received.
    • Responding promptly and professionally to questions from the buyer.
    • Proactively communicating with the buyer throughout the transaction.
    • Issuing refunds in a timely manner when accepting returns or when there are problems with delivery.
Breaches of this policy by a seller may result in a range of actions, including:
    • Listing cancellation
    • Limits on account privileges
    • Account suspension
    • Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
    • Selling fee schedule adjustments
    • Loss of PowerSeller status
    • Referral to Law Enforcement
The consequences for breaching this policy are determined primarily by the level of buyer dissatisfaction. Sellers with buyer dissatisfaction levels between 5% and 10% will, at minimum, have their selling privileges limited for a period of time. Sellers with buyer dissatisfaction levels exceeding 10% will, at minimum, have their site privileges substantially restricted, possibly including a complete restriction on selling privileges. Failure to bring buyer satisfaction rates within an acceptable range may result in account suspension.
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D

It can be quite serious depending on the volume sold and other factors. Every complaint, be it neg or neutral feedback, non performing seller complaints or anonymous complaints about listings are recorded. If a certain percentage against sales is received in any 30 day period the seller will get suspended for a short while.

So obviously the higher volume of sales the less likely it is that a non performing seller complaint can hurt.
