At my Uncles funeral a few weeks ago, they played
Missing you (the puff daddy one, think his kids picked that one)
Queen - Those were the days of our lives (his wife chose that)
The last song, played especially for him was, You'll never walk alone(and most of the blokes sung along even if they weren't Lpool supporters, it was lovely to hear
)
I think Sarah McLachlan, I will remember you, is a beautiful song : http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dHm1el3Sze8
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memoriesTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

I was at a funeral some time ago where a male voice choir sang 'The Parting Glass' the end, and it was really something... I can't see it on youtube, except the movie version, but I know I've seen it on iTunes by the Voice Squad - a fantastic version.
My condolences on the loss of your brother-in-law.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

when my mum died a few years ago she was a huge chaz and dave fan as her coffin was carried out "give me a london girl every time" was played .a few strange looks that turned to giggles then the whole congregation was singing and clappig,,,, just as mum would have wanted it. my advice is toget the family together,think carefully then choose something that sums up that person and meant something to them and theire loved ones.just want to add, i'm truely sorry for your loss.xxx0

Sorry to hear about your loss
My boyfriend recently lost one of his close friends from school. He died from cancer at the age of 28. At his funeral they played a song called Hole in the World by the Eagles and it summed up how we all felt with his passing away.0 -
When my uncle died a couple of years ago the organist played "Oh I do like to be beside the seaside" as the coffin left the church. Uncle was a keen fisherman and had lived all his life by the sea - its was very apt and really celebrated his life.0
