It's sad but uplifting at the same time.

My OH wants.... Burning Love by Elvis Presley!!:rotfl:When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -
My dear friend died in Nov last year of cancer. She was in her 50s She didnt want a religious funeral. Her family arranged for a funeral co-ordinator to conduct the service. We all wore very bright colours and her daughter asked all her family and very many friends to write a memory of her mother which she read out at the funeral. Most of the memories were funny ones. One of the songs She wanted playing in the middle of the service was Comma Camelion by boy George (sorry about spelling) we all sang and clapped along to it. I dont want a vicar that I dont know talking about me so this is exactly the type of funeral I want. But not for a long long time yet. I have a lot of living to do first. I have made my wishes known all I have to do is to choose the music. Goodbyee by Joseph Lock for going out. I want something to pop up on the coffin and wave a hanky to the congregation and they could all wave a hankerchief back at me. As I am a rock and roll girl something from that era. Great Balls of fire. Gerry Lee Lewis. Long Tall Sally. You get the picture.
Hope everything went OK velvetybubbles xxx0 -
