Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo Ole always makes me cry, think hes got such a wonderful voice and he also died very young, the song was a hit after he died.
My grandad died 4 years ago and we played Jennifer Rush The Power Of Love and ive only got to hear that song and i end up in floods of tears.0 -

I love songbird by eva cassidy you can listen to it on Youtube
Hope it goes well0 -
My OH went to a funeral and one of the songs that was played (as the coffin was carried out) was The Zephyr Song by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. OH said it was really emotional, but the song was uplifting. There was another song played and he said it was a good choice but I can't remember what it was.
Until I actually listened to that song properly, I thought it was about a car! I didn't know a zephyr was a breeze.0 -
Another good one is Lynard Skynard Freebird
Went to a funeral 07 when the director of our Harley Davidson Chapter got killed on his bike.
If i can think of anymore songs i'll add them to here0 -

When my brother in law died my sister had Music was my first loved played at the crematorium. He was a great music lover and was personal to him. My husbands friends dad died and he was a great Abba fan so they played a few Abba tracks. I think it is would be lovely to play something personal to him. Maybe something from his favourite artist. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile0
