    Related to RM so can I ask you a question? My post office said it's not worth bothering to claim for items not received if you only have a certificate of posting as proof of postage. Ive recently sold loads on ebay and about 8 have gone astray. Is my post office right? tia

    Your Post Office is wrong. The proof of posting is fine to back up your claim.

    Kevin is right, a cert of posting is fine to reclaim for items lost but only covers up to £34 IIRC. If you send items worth more than that they need to be sent via the appropriate service.

    Also its the seller who claims for lost post, not the buyer.
