The post office now print a till slip showing the postcode and house number. When you take a SD they check for a valid address, surely this wrong street would have your postcode. Ask the seller for a scan of the white till receipt. The old silver counterfoil is not stamped anymore so is of no use in a claim.

my post office are still stamping the silver slips and not giving me a till receipt for special delivery items
  • OK> Phoned paypal who seemed helpful. They asked me to forward the message where the seller said he sent the item to southdown crescent. I did this. Now have gone back to RM website and there is electronic proof of signature showing.

Handwritten address says 8 Southpark  but the signature is totally illegible and certainly not mine or my husband's and I can safely say neither one of my three children, age 6, 4 and 2 would have opened the door and signed for anything.

    I feel sick and violated.

delivery office would be my 1st call. as i said once you know the duty that delivery was allocated to it may narrow down the delivery.
eg if its a duty that doesnt do you street then it must have been wrongly addressed

Mine also still stamps the silver bit and returns it to me, but I also get a till receipt which doesn't have any address on it.
