hello ,I havent read any of the posts yet .
Ive been madly busy setting up a new computer the last few days and having head banging against the wall moments. ITs finally sorted the way I want.
I had to throw out two chicken carcasses this morning as the freezer just couldnt hold anymore. I know I could have used them for soup but Ive got some already waiting to have for lunch .
We had some good news ,DD has got two offers to the uni's shes applied to:) So I suppose I will have no kids at home once she is off SIGH.
DS is back from his uni on friday for the holiday. It will be lovely to be 4 again and have his cheeky comments bouncing around.
Hugs to those who need them

Morning all - just!

(((hugs))) to Smoky and anyone else who needs them.
Having a down day today, can't be bothered with anything. Am feeling very sad, insecure and paranoid, i think the combination of pregnancy hormones and not being on my AD's anymore is taking its toll
I didn't really enjoy my birthday getaway last week due to all these stupid things going round in my head and i'm just so tired of it but can't seem to shake it off.
Got to take DD swimming later then its an easy tea of chicken pie (made up in freezer) with mash and veg. Hopefully might have cheered up by then!
Sorry to moan, have a good day all

DONNY-GAL - Happy Engagement Anniversary! I laughed when I saw you asking when do men grow up? They don't! I was told a long time ago that men don't get past the age of 14 and, with a soon-to-be 51 year old DH, a 36 year old DS1 and a 26 year old DS2, I can only confirm it. I'm sorry!
SPLODGE - lots of (((hugs))) to your youngest DS. My youngest DS gets married in August, after 8 years of courting and 1.5 years of living together - I know just how devastated he (and the rest of the family, who love his bride-to-be dearly) would be. I do hope he finds happiness soon.
ELONA - the squares thread has been closed while it is being referred to the charities board to find out if it is breaking any rules. If it is approved, then, yes, size 8 needles.
MRS MONEYPENNY - thanks for the info about the Aran wool at Aldi's; that's really cheap for 400gm balls.
Well, I've done my errands and been to the gym and now I'm starving, but it's a bit too early for lunch! It hasn't rained since I decided not to hang the washing out but I bet, if I do, it will, so I've decided to leave well alone. I was really cold first thing this morning but it seems to be quite mild at the moment.
Anyway, off to do something - see you all later.

Need to fess up - I didnt get up till 9.30 this morning:eek:  I blame SamtheYorkie as I was expecting him to wake me up (yesterday it was 7.30 - on a Sunday:rolleyes: ) anyway he didnt so i had to wake him up and then rush around feeling guilty:D Not too bad really as I am working from home whilst he is staying so I can just shift the hours back a bit. Lots and lots of paper to sort today.
Need to go to Costco this week as they have their passport deals on and I want to pick up some chicken pieces and the 3 for 2 deal on their hanging baskets which are lovely and as its a sunny day I am starting to think garden (well not really but its a start I guess!)
Anyway hope you all enjoy the craick today

Hi everyone, spent all this morning shovelling s*** of the horse variety, fortunately it did not smell, so has not stunk the car out, it was very wet though, good job we had put down layers of protection in the back of the car!!
My back and legs now ache worse than they did on Saturday and I have had to strip off in the hall and take our fleeces and my trousers down to the laundry...............will collect them later, don't put them in the dryer, hang them on coat hangers in the dorr way to dry, they are quite quick, trousers go over the rad airers................

Good morning all,
This is my first post on MSE althoughtI have been reading the forum for about two months.
OS is my favourite board, reminds me of my mum so much, she tried her best to bring me up this way, but it's only now at 32 and being the househusband that I appreicate what she used to do :-)
Looking forward to changing my life on it's head, one step at a time of course :-)

Thank you Mioliere for your kind words they mean a lot. We to were very fond of our daughter in law and dont understand how this could have happened. My sons self estem is at rock bottom. Although his friends are constantly telling him how intelligent and caring and dare I say good looking he is. This means nothing to him when his world has been torn apart. I know it takes times but he just doesn't seem to be moving on and I guess the next step will be hard which will be when the house is sold and he comes back to live at home. I try hard not to be down as I know that we have got our health and lots of people have much bigger problems then I do but it is very hard.0
