    morning all
happy St Patricks day from me for when ever it was celebrated-went in town saturday morning and a pub near the market was decorated in shamrocks and some of the patrons looked like they were getting into the swing of things early:beer: .

hugs for smokey and family, and quackers - i hope your DDs op goes well.
martyn i hope you are feeling a little happier, just take it a day at a time it will get better
rain seems to have cleared off which is good i might get some more washing dry today. id caught up on ALL my ironing beginning of the week then rain stopped play so i decided to tackle the mending pile, 3 pairs of trousers and a shirt fixed, and a new door curtain made from scratch- i was going to buy fabric but found a huge lengh in the airing cupboard when i tidyed that last weekend that i'd over bought a couple of years ago so nice frebbie there:T

is it naff to have matching cushions and curtains? ive got the bottoms i chopped off a spare pair when i made the curtain valance, it enough to recover my four big cushions but not sure really:confused: . i could reuse the fabric that is currently covering them to make shopping bags but the curtain fabric is a bit too curtainy to use as bags iykwim.

ill be happy to make a couple of squares if the blanket gets the go ahead:D

must go and sort kids lunchboxes out now and think what to do for tea.

i hope everyones day has something nice in it

Martyn, well done on the soup. You'll be writing a cookbook next. A one-person survival guide to the kitchen. (Well if Delia can write about tinned mince.....)

I've already started. It'll be called "The Billy-no-mates cookbook from the River of Tears motorhome"

last day off before I go back to work tomorrow after nearly 2 weeks off! am still playing catchup with the washing and ironing but at least the house is clean and tidy.:T
I took DS1 back to his lodgings last night - he has a room in a beautiful flat but I nearly died when I saw the state of it - its like something out of Life Of Grime! I told him to get it sorted or I'll be sending for Kim and Aggie!:D

    Plans for today are

pop into town(walking) to do a few jobs
    washing
    ironing
go into Ludlow to get my nails done(an extravagance but it makes me feel so much better)
have a coffee with my best friend
do a menu plan for the next week
get DS2 up and straighten his hair before school!

I hope you all have a lovely day (((hugs))) to those feeling low or poorly x

    Good morning everyone,

I havnt read the thread today, but did notice that snowy started it in green for ST PATRICKS DAY so i thought i would copy - so a happy day to all who are celebrating today (im sure there are a few who are keeping to the proper day!!!)

Smoky - i hope you receive better news today, you are in our thoughts and hearts xxx

    mrs mix :hello:
    Taplady :hello:

Popping into town this morning to pick up a little cd player ive ordered from Woollies for DDs birthday (its pink!!! only £14.99, which i thought was very good), and i also want to see if Asda have any ducks, for Sunday lunch (i know the traditional is lamb, but as its a special day we like something we wouldnt normally have) Asda tend to do nice ones for £5, so i hope they still have them. Will prob get some petrol as well, but im hoping not to spend too much whilst im there, im terrible in supermarkets - its where i spend most of my money!!!

This afternoon i have the LO here, and we are going to my childrens schools Easter Eggstravaganza, they have both decorated an egg, DDs is a rabbit, DS has done Lewis Hamilton!!! LO ive looked after since she was 5 months old (its her last week this week before she moves, so i will be in bits on Thursday) hasnt done anything (her mum has a lot on at the moment) so we are recycling DDs Easter hat from last year for her to take.

Making HM calzons for dinner tonight, not sure what other OS things we are doing, if i get back from town early enough, might be some cleaning!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day, ((HUGS)) to anyone who would like one, or needs one,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good Morning All

Running a little late, so not had chance to read the thread yet!

Busy wk end, washing, housework, bed changing, I even went shopping! Which 10 mins into the supermarket, I had a panic attack and felt quite drained afterwards!

OH made a few calls yesterday to BT & Sky to compare offers & packages, for phone, tv & BB. Why are these luxuries such an headache to sort out!

DS is back at school today! So back to work for me!

    Hope everyone is well
    Take care
