Cold here again today, just wait until this time next week when we're in the caravan

Work today, and as I haven't been very good with my diet over the weekend, I'm concocting something in the slow cooker using up leftover chicken, passata etc. and throwing in lots of chilli flakes to liven it up :D

    morning all,

Cold here, woke up several times in the night shivering, still its nice and bright so will get some washing done.

Dad came over for his dinner yesterday, I got a huge free range chicken for £6.58, used most of it yesterday, but there is a bit left for soup :T .

We bought little dog a pop up bed from the local £1 shop yesterday, its really good, a bit like a tent for dogs, she loves it, will not get out, and keeps peering at me from the mesh bit at the top, :D

Cottage pie for tea tonight, DD's favourite, need to strip the beds and get the bedding washed, and a general tidy up.

Smokey will be thinking of you today as always xx

Anyone heard from GB lately? all gone quiet from her end x

    Have good days all xx

Top o'the morning to you all!!!

And the rest o'the day to yourself

Not much planned for today. DD arrived home yesterday afternoon, happy but shattered. DH made pigeon breast casserole for tea, and DD fell asleep in front of the fire at 8:15. We then helped DS to start on a box of Maltesers he'd been given ;) I started on her washing, and need to get it ironed. The Small Penguins have 3 days at school, then we're off on holiday on Saturday, so I need to get ready for that.

DS off on a school trip to the theatre tonight, and the hairdresser's coming, so spag bol in 2 sittings for tea.

Smoky and Quackers - will be thinking of you and your families.

Have a great day, Penny. x

    Morning all.

    Happy birthday Patrick.

Smoky-thinking of you and yours, hope everything is okay. If any one else needs a hug, mine are yours and take care.

Not looking too bad down here, the skys are grey but not as bad as they have been. The Buzzard was waiting for me this morning. I had a peak round the net curtains when I got up and there he was, on the big grass play area that's outside of my bungalow. Did his usual and took off away over the forest, probably a bit embarassed as I was talking about him last night. Got some old friends arriving from France today to house/pet-sit for the park owners while they're away on holiday. I haven't seen them since they moved over there last year so should be nice. Hopefully get some more cheques in the post for my diving gear. It's sad having to sell it but the money is keeping me afloat while I get my finances in order.

Breakfast is calling so have as good a day as possible and be safe.

    Martyn.

    Good morning everyone,

My house is clean and fairly tidy, ds has gone to nursery (I love him but a bit of peace and quiet is bliss), so I'm off to Tesco in a little while, all on my own to do the weekly shopping and have a quiet browse for bargains.

I'm also going to the library on my own this morning, which is a bit of a treat. You haven't lived until you've had your books chosen by a three year old (some of them have been ok actually:rotfl: ).

Martyn, well done on the soup. You'll be writing a cookbook next. A one-person survival guide to the kitchen. (Well if Delia can write about tinned mince.....)

Hugs for Smoky, and I'm hoping that the news about Eric is better today. Really, really hoping.

Take care all of you, and hugs to anyone that needs them.

    HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!

I slept really well. The steroids are kicking in, I'm not so numb today, Yeah!:T
Hastings Half-marathon was great. damp, but good. 5,000 runners in all. All looked pretty pleased that they did it:T

Making smoked fish pie today, for Good Friday. Don't want to have to cook end of the week, and can't go anywhere cos of the legs, so I decided to use the time wisely. Ordered my Easter food from Tesco yesterday, got a coupon from the discount thread that gave me £7 off. So no delivery charge. Thank you!:rotfl:

This site has saved me sooooooooooo much money over the last four years. Can't recommend it enough.
