    Morning everyone

Smokey - I can't say it enough, but I really am praying for you and your family

Hillstep - Glad you are feeling better today :)

Well, I feel like poo this morning, woken up with a raging sore throat and runny nose. Hope it goes away soon. Will dose myself up in a minute anyway

Had a drama yesterday, sent OH into town to get money out with my card, he rings and says 'The machine just swallowed your card saying Incorrect PIN' (even though he had put the right PIN in), so I had a panic thinking my card had been cloned etc, rang the back and cancelled my card, put a fraud alert on the account etc. Then he comes home looking really sheepish and says....(wait for it, you'll never guess) ...'It was my card I put in the machine, using your PIN code. Thats why it got swallowed'.
IDIOT!!!!!! I was so angry with him. So now I have gone through all that hassle for no reason and have to go through it again to sort his card out.

I have to go into Plymouth this morning to get money out of my bank account (have to take ID etc), then I am working at 12 - 6th day out of 7 :). I think I am supposed to be cleaning the bathroom this morning too, although that won't take long.

Dinner is Toad in the Hole - OH has been cooking dinner recently, I get it all prepped for him, then he cooks it ready for me when I get home :)

Hope you all have a good day, and Happy St Patricks to those who celebrate it

    Morning All

Taken forever to get on here this morning as I've been recording some work for American radio stations:T

Still feeling ill with a wonderful cough. But I'll live. Got more bills to sort out later, always fun parting with money.

Done most of my daily clicks, but a few more to do.

Happy St Patrick's Day to all celebrating

    Hope everyone's ok

    happy st patrick's day everyone

HH - I can't rmember where Katyland is but I think she would struggle to bring her aunty and kids over in any case. She would need to demonstrate that she can provide adequate accomodation and support them all without "recourse to public funds"

non - working day today so will give the house a blitz - weather looks good enough to venture into the garden at the moment (please rain please rain - it's scary out there) - the veg beds need digging over and weeding  Got to wait in today anyway as there are soem tickets being delivered.

Just waiting for veggie dd to go to school so I can have sausage sandwiches for brekkie - yummy

hugs to smokey and your family
Martyn - I would buy that book - can't wait for the tv series

ooh she's gone she's gone - where's that frying pan
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Morning everyone
i woke bright and early this morning, good job as i`ve lots to do today.

The contents of the slowcooker are cooling in a huge dish in the kitchen ready for the blender to turn it into a lovely thick vegetable soup and the sc is now back on again with a lovely piece of brisket in and some onions for onion gravy to have later for tea.
I`ve no idea where all the soup will go as the freezer is so full i can`t fit anything else in it so will have to have a sort through later and make a new inventory.

I`ve just caught up with yesterdays thread and i`m sorry to hear that smokys news is not better, hopefully Eric will improve soon, i am thinking of you and your family Smoky and really really hope to hear some good news from you soon.

Martyn - it`s nice to see you are more positive in recent posts, the lovely people here are always on hand to help and can be really motivating, hope things continue to get better.

i`m off to update on the GC then do some housew**k and walk the hounds, have a great day everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Morning :hello:

Happy St Patrick's Day  Pink, please don't do this to your [strike]ginger as a ginger[/strike] [strike]thing [/strike]strawberry bonde cat again this year.

Smoky, on a serious note you really are in all our thoughts and I think we all feel so helpless. Our concern for you and Eric and the chidren is very real and we will help in any way we can.

We had a lovely weekend here and if anything Smoky's troubles made me reflect a lot on how we need to enjoy our time more. So we had lots of walks and fun and I thought of her often.

On yesterday afternoon's walk the little black cat followed us but gave up after about half a mile from home. I thought she would just turn round and go home as she usually does. The walk took us on a loop and when we got home she still hadn't returned. By 10.30 last night she hadn't returned so I went to the spot we had last seen her where she was sitting on the wall waitingf or us to come back. :o Bless her.

Dtwin1 is [strike]skiving [/strike]off sick  but I am boring her sufficienty that if she is swinging the lead it wil be the last time she does it. It's another stunning day so I'm going to get a couple of loads on the line and do some ironing. Maybe a bit of work in the garden too.

Tea is cheats Irish stew. (braised lamb, carrots and mashed potato) and a wee drinkie. ;)

    Take care all

    I've been Money Tipped!
:hello: Good Morning! and Happy St Patricks Day! I did see that the Pope had moved it to Saturday the 15th so that it didn't interfere with Holy Week (Easter is very early this year) but very difficult to do that with such a traditional date. So whenever you celebrate it - Have fun!!!:D

Today we are going to try to get a drs appointment for OH and ask if there is anything that can be given to him to help with the bp, I think steroids are the next option so we will see, first hurdle is the appointment!! Must also go buy OH an eye patch so he can play pirates!

I finished the dollies blanket for after school last night:j and completed one square for my own blanket so needles are bare  and awaiting new yarn. So rare for me to finish anything:rotfl: so will try to keep this up. Might start another dolls blanket (to use up some of my stash) while we wait the outcome of the charity squares decision, the children are so desperate for blankets to cuddle the dolls in that last week they were using sheets of A4 paper (bless).

(((hugs))) to Smokey and hoping that all our prayers will be answered.

(((hugs))) to PP, Hilstep, Benthosboy (so good to hear you feeling more positive - one day at a time and you will get there)

:hello: Hello Mrs Mix, Shez, Aussie, Snowy, Catowen and all the hussys

Must get some bread going today and a stew in the slowcooker. Have a good Monday!

    Catz x

MARTYN - It's 'Billy-lots-of-Mates' now and don't you dare forget it! Love to the Buzzard - there's something fascinating about birds of prey, isn't there?

REDRUBY - your little dog must look so comical in her new tent! One of our cats, long gone now, used to love hiding in cardboard boxes and your story reminded me of him!

SCUZZ - hope your cough goes - it's so tiring, isn't it?

HESTER - I can't wait for Katy to go, I don't know about you! She makes me tired and fed up. I think you've been a saint but enough's enough and you need to get your life and space back. It would be easy for her to blame the kids for the predicament she is in but teachers need to rise above that, however difficult they find it, and good teachers do. She is obviously in the wrong job and should perhaps work as a nightwatch person seeing as how she's so nocturnal!

HILSTEP - glad your steroids have started to work. Hope you have a good day.

BLAIRWEECH - that's exactly the sort of thing my DH would do! He can't remember any of the numbers for his cards and is constantly phoning me up when he's out buying from suppliers, to ask for them! I don't even use his cards yet I know all the numbers! It must be a 'man' thing but it truly drives me mad.

Well, I feel quite smug - I've prepped everything for dinner, sent a few important emails, arranged for my boiler's yearly check, written some letters, hoovered downstairs, cleaned the bathroom and had a quick tidy upstairs so now I'm treating myself to a coffee before I go out.

I was just going to put some washing on the line but it started to rain so I shall hang it up on the airer upstairs instead. The sky is a confusing mixture of bright blue and dark grey and I suspect the dark grey will win the day!

Anyway, off to get ready and go out so will see you all later.

SMOKY - I do hope you get better news today.

hope everyone is well, i am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but st. patricks day was on the 15th (sat) this year due to it having to be moved because it conflicted with the church week.

You try telling that to we Irish. ;)

    Morning all,

Hugs to Smokey, hope the news is better today.

For those feeling poorly have a gentle hug from a distance!

    Hello to all the newbies.

I am signed off work for 2 weeks, hobbling around on crutches after my ankle op on Friday, neighbours have taken DS to school so have peace now until 3.20. Not much I can do though! Will have breakfast in a mo cause I need to take pain killers. Might try and have a bath later if I can pluck up the courage, was different yesterday when I had a friend staying and knew if I got stuck she could help get me out!! If I don't come back later you know I am still stuck!:rotfl:

Have a good day all, off to try and make some toast with my h/m bread (yes I can still load up the breadmaker while on crutches).:D

    See you all later xxxxxx
  • Morning guys :j

Just a quickie as I should really be in the shower by now and getting ready for work.

Me and OH decided yesterday that we are gonna take the kids away at the weekend, but can't decide where. Thinking a weekend away at a theme park, but dunno which one, and the more I think about it the more I'm talking myself out of going, thinking it's gonna cost too much etc I just can't be spontaneous, and book somewhere, the more I organise going, the more I think perhaps we shouldn't go, perhaps we should stay at home and save the money  I'm soooooo sucked into moneysaving I don't want to be parted from my money so easily :rotfl:

But need to make a decision today as really need to book if we are to go on Friday

Anyways disappointed with Dancing on ice result last night, wanted Chris to win :(

Suzanne was gd, but Chris was my fave.

Work at 10.30, then pick kids up from school and nursery, going to speak to DS5 teacher about him joining Chess club, never thought I would have a child who enjoys chess, don't know where he gets that from, because it's definately not me! lol

Need to pop to tesco for bread and milk, and any bargains I can find!

Dinner tonight is Pie, mash and veg and must get on my exercise bike haven't been on it for a week  I was being really good then just lost my drive to go on it, but must get back on it tonight :j

Right must be off, time for a shower.
    Hugs to all
